Ross is such a professional! He was fantastic to work with, he was so informative and insightful helping get the best possible outcome. I cannot stress more how great Ross is at his job. The nature of his business isn't always so glamorous but he handles everything with dignity and respect. I would go as far to say he is one of the finest Criminal Defense Attorneys in the state, can't thank him enough!!

My experience with Ross was outstanding. He knows what he’s talking about, and knew exactly how to handle my case. I ended up getting probation, which I didn’t expect. Some people don’t like their outcome and are just sour grapes.

He is the worst lawyer in northern Michigan he will talk a good game when he’s talking to you then when you’re in front of the judge with him he acts completely different and lies on you on behalf of the prosecutor and makes promises he can’t keep

To mention Ross Hickman got caught with bricks of coxaine getting off a private plane few years back at the bellaire Michigan airport and somehow still has his job

Hickman will do nothing to help your case. He will then smile about it while you are convicted even though you are completely innocent. Unprofessional, will lie that he had done as you ask and does almost nothing, does not object to prosecution repeatedly and totally, leading their witness, when forgetting many previous lies, or violating court rules. Files nothing, does not order requested polygraph, expert, nothing. Does not return calls and will not give you receipts. Wont answer questions, turns his back on you. Don't trust. I would not of clicked one star but you have to in order to give a review. This man a defense attorney? Unbelieveable. Our family was warned that this attorney would not do a thing to defend. Did not even try. Had evidence of accusers credibility. A state police Sgt. Testing her for credibility and reporting she was not truthful, a liar. A lot of evidence he withheld, evidence of accusing many, many others (unfounded). Many professional documents, reports she is a liar, pity seeker. Many, witnesses to tell the accuser makes false reports against anyone angry at without ANY remorse as to the damage done innocent people or their lives, married 46 years, who helped her through her entire life when no one else would, while giving up their own needs out of love for her. A chronically ill old man. Pure evil, heartless. A person who is a threat to society, accusing even a child 8 yr old, many others. Has played any new unknowing acquaintance with her lies of "poor me". Ross knew, there was HARD evidence and sat back did nothing but feed a innocent to the prosecutor who is his only concern. If you demand answers or that he does "something", he once again will have to talk to the prosecutor. Isnt that suspicious? When asked 2nd day of trial "when will you call our witnesses". He actually said "Sometimes less is more", then ran into courtroom, sat on the table trying to talk baseball with the prosecutor with his back turned on the True Victim. He called no witnesses and did not come out again or object to OUTRAGEOUS antics by prosecution..... The accused never getting to say a word, his line of witnesses not called to testify and a stack of documented evidence withheld. Completely railroaded by a corrupt system after any Win and a attorney who only met with the innocent 10 minutes total in 4 months. If you care at all about your INNOCENT loved one, don't give this man your time of day. "Innocence" rang LOUD and CLEAR from investigation through trial. All rights violated, everyone silenced, evidence or true story never heard from start to finish. The jury only hearing a garbled pack of sickening lies from ONE side. This is the TRUTH of how crooked attorneys and the so called justice system works in the world today. They say " everyone agrees the system is broken but, not how to fix it". To start, hold crooked attorneys and prosecutors who abuse their power accountable. Investigate fairly, asking ALL witnesses involved, not just the one that tells what you want to hear with story change after story change, while leading them throughout. Then, if all signs point to innocence, investigate further, LET all records and witness BE HEARD and hold prosecutors and attorneys accountable when they withhold the evidence they have, or they uncover. A FAIR, TRIAL from start to finish for EVERYONE. That would be TRUE Justice. I believe Good will prevail with higher court, True Justice. The true criminal paying the price of this fabricated nightmare. I urge you to find anyone else, put your innocent in the hands of one you can trust. You CAN'T TRUST HICKMAN. Our nightmare is proof of that. God be with you all.

Not worth the money. A public defender could have done better. Worst communication, you have to always call him, he seemed like he could care less and your just a pay check. Awful wouldn't recommend!
