Mr Lawson is a great attorney. He goes over every detail with you and keeps you informed about your case. He will tell you how it is and is always honest about what you can do and what your sentence is looking like. Long story short I got charged with a felony drug possession. Went to jail got out on a signature Bond and was appointed Mr Lawson. I met up with Mr Lawson and told him I wanted to fight it because it wasn't my car nor was it in my possession. Mr Lawson pullout this law book that looked like it was about 100 years old and read the law on possession. Well unfortunately I at that time learned that a possession charge is one of the three things. Means the drugs are either on you, within your vicinity, or if you have knowledge of it. At that time I new I wasn't fighting it. Mr Lawson just told me to not get into any trouble and stay within the terms of my signature Bond witch were 100% sobriety, no contact with my girlfriend, and day report. About 2 weeks later me and my girlfriend got pulled over. The police found out I had a no contact with her. Therefore I went to jail on a felony bail jumping. During that time they searched my girlfriends car and ended up finding drug paraphernalia. So we both got charged with felony drug paraphernalia, and 2 different felony possession charges because apparently they can test empty baggies that have very little residue in them. We both ended up getting the same charges. So after all that I was sitting in jail On a cash bond. Unfortunately I didn't know of anyone in the area that could help bail me out. I sat in jail for 2 weeks and the whole time Mr Lawson really helped me out. I asked him to call ppl and he would. He even logged on my facebook for me to message my friend because I didn't know her number. He always answered and went above and beyond to help me while I was in there. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't of even been able to get a hold of anyone to make bail. Once I got bailed out we met and talked about the new charges. He was upset but still stuck with me and did his best. During the court process He met with the prosecutor to try and agree to a fair sentence. They originally wanted to sentence me to 30 days in jail and 4 years felony probation while pleading guilty to felony possession, felony bail jumping, and felony drug paraphernalia. I told Mr Lawson " no way. We can do better than that. It's my first felony case ever in my life. " Mr Lawson agreed and after another meeting with the prosecutor Mr Lawson ended up getting everything we asked for. We agreed that I would plead guilty to felony bail jumping, and felony drug possession. We asked for 2 years felony probation. And as long as I complete my probation successfully and pay all my restitution we go back to court after the 2 years and the felony charges get expunged! Or at least I think it's expunged? Either that or dropped to a misdemeanor? Idk one of the two! All I know is that's awesome! Lol I couldn't of asked for a better attorney. He got what I wanted and I ended up pleading guilty to the only charges I was guilty of. I didn't get charged with anything I didn't do even though they were trying to Mr Lawson got the prosecutor agree with him. I mean I even get the chance to get the changes expunged/dismissed? witch is great. I didn't think that was going to happen. I recommend Mr Lawson to anyone that's looking for a criminal law attorney. He's very affordable and will get you what you deserve. He will be honest and tell you what you can get dropped or fight. If your looking at prison time he will tell you it's possible. He's a smart guy with a lot of experience in marathon county court system. Well known and well liked. He's someone you want on your side!
