I worked with two attorneys at Messerli -- one on general business issues and the other in intellectual property. Advice given was uneven in terms of quality and was very expensive. Phone calls were not returned. I found other legal counsel that was far more reasonable and responsive.

They sued me for a Citi bank account. Contacted a fella named Ben there. Left messages and didn't receive a call back until I left a message about being able to pay them. They don't give a flying **** about what your going through in your personal life. They just want the money. What a disappointment. Don't even know how they can sleep in peace at night doing what they do.

Fraudsters. Taking money out of my paycheck for a Garnishment that was already paid in full. Please look up the definition of fraud. I also attached a photo for proof. I also plan on having this matter looked at by a legal professional. Thanks!

I called about a debt I was unaware of (sent to wrong address) & was fortunate enough to be patched through to Aaron Suess He is a ROCKSTAR human being!!! He walked me through everything and explained it, repeated it & listened to me explain my budget and we came up with a more than fair agreement!!!

I have severe anxiety disorder and have had horrible experiences attempting to pay debt... threatened and harassed - I was cooperative and pleasant on the phone while having a panic attack - terrified of what the representative would say... but Aaron renewed my faith today! Pure Evil, this firm is! High-jacked my bank account a week before Christmas, got 4x my husband's original debt from TEN Yrs ago. We called and they refused to work with us on balance they say we owe. Hit us again today for the fourth time, hope the $17 goes far.

I have to say working with Sandy has been great! She is willing to work with you so that everything went smoothly. I feel like they really care about you and didn't push anything on you that you didn't agree with.

I get it that its my fault that i am in collections stuff happens in life but wow the lady shelly i spoke to i felt like she was my mother getting after me cause i miss a payment so rude no grace of any sort i can see why the ratings are so low for this company.

Had an account in this office. I'm a 100% disabled Veteran. I had made a few payments on the account and for some reason, there was more added to the balance. The account rep was not able to explain where the extra amount came from or rather wouldn't. His demeanor and responses were so unprofessional and disrespectful. Even with the banking information in the system he didn't take the next payment out of my account causing men to miss the arranged payment. I had to call in and speak to another person who not only broke down where the extra amount originated, she apologized for his crass attitude toward this matter. I just had he taken the entire amount don't have to deal with this company anymore. People need to understand that even though people may at times fall behind on bills it doesn't make them bad people and cause them to have a job. I took very ill and lost my job due to all the injuries I endured during my time in the military protecting this country. They need to respect and appreciate anyone they speak to no matter the situation because the simple fact is other people's misfortune has been a means to keep them employed. Think about that. As for me, I'm out! Hope to never ever have to speak to them again. May God treat them as they treat others.

Horrible overcharged for a debt owed by over $600. Never sent paperwork to my employer. Staff are really rude when you call. Refuse to pay back what they overcharged. Will be taking legal action against this horrible company.

They just took over a debt from my wife about a month ago. We can't afford to pay it yet so we figured we would call them in a couple months to settle the debt when we have the money. Today my wife was summoned by them. A month after getting word they took over the debt! She has gotten phone calls from them every single day. It's harassment! We are looking into our options for legal action against them, we've never had anything like this happen before. It's crazy!

Messerli Kramer took $10,000 dollars from my bank accounts and cleaned me out for a old credit card bill. The banks and lenders got bailed out by the government after the crash of 2008 and the middle class man got screwed. Now I sit here contemplating suicide because I just can't get ahead. This place has never sent me a validation notice and now I'm getting notice of intent to garnish to an address I haven't lived at in 12 years also they did try to serve me at that same address but was unsuccessful but the process server was very rude to my father called him a liar and tried to open his door I'm reporting this company messerli and kramer to the attorney general's office hopefully this firm gets shut down.

Was served papers to show up to court, for a debt which I completely forgot about (4 years ago), i had some serious family issues happening, so i put it at the back of my mind, but i digress. I promptly paid them the next business day. My only issue was that they were not really willing to work with me on settling for a certain amount. It was either the full amount or nothing. But other than that, pretty fair company to work with. The people complaining about them are the people who took a loan out knowing they could not pay the company back. Yes, it sucks to pay money you borrowed, but it would suck more to have to go to court, and have a judgement on your record. I accepted the responsibility of forgetting about my debt. If people accepted their own responsibility (financially), This company would probably have better reviews.

Overpaid by $700.00. Still waiting for my refund. Said they need 2 wks for a check to clear from my employer. WTH, 2 wks? Please! They are collecting interest on my money. Tempted to contact a lawyer and garnish their wages until I get my money! Told me it could be weeks yet! Not happy!

Just about the most incompetent place to work with. Employees do not follow through with their conversations they have with client's. Do NOT set up a payment plan with them as right after you do, and make your first payment, they attepmt to garnish your wages. And even after the account is closed they still illegally garnish when the account is closed. And then they laughably mail you a letter saying it is closed. After you get the letter they still take money on a closed account! You call and ask for your money back as there was no dept left to pay. They keep telling you they dont have it, even though you have documentation that they do, and they finally admit to having it when they send it back through a 3rd party, your employer, so it takes you weeks to get your money that they unlawfully took. When you call you get Employees who are confused upon picking up their phone as they seem to forgotten it's their job to answer the phone. I would work closely with an attorney while dealing with them as I'm sure you do not have the time nor crayons to handle their employees.

I ended up speaking with a gentleman at the end who I do have to say was kind. And now they are being released. I plan on working to buuild back my credit now in the future thanks to him. Today I was told not by Justin that they CHA GED THEIR MINDS??? They will not let me speak with Justin and was hung up on... I am NOW working with MN Attorney General Office. And my money has been returned.

Owed Capital One $1800 and received court papers from M&K. Worked out a plan with them paying $150 a month. Paid them 6 months and then late paying them one month due to family crisis and suddenly these #$%&! went to court to get a judgment on me. Now these blood suckers will start garnishing my wage and my bank account. Once these blood suckers get their teeth on you they will never let you go until they get their very last penny. Worst people ever.

I had a outstanding debt and i got a letter from this firm stating the debt i owe and if i dont do anything about it,legal action will take place. i forgot about responding back and i was taken to court.

I made a payment plan with the firm, made the payments on time and was told that interest will be added on everyday and i was ok with that because i knew i got myself in this mess.

so, if you got a outstanding debt with this firm and was taken to court..set up a plan and pay it..its that simple.

Had to deal with them for the first time. Started getting garnished on a credit card from almost 10 years ago that I forgot a small balance on. Talked to a few reps to try and get a little more info on this account, such as original balance, how the amount got so high, other payment options to help pay off faster, things of the nature, and they all refused to answer anything and would only answer with “Well sir you should have paid this when you had a chance sir.” And was getting a horrible attitude from all reps. I just wanted to work with them to get resolved but they don’t want to work with anyone...

They will harass you, and sue you continuously regardless of situation. I've been sued while pregnant, and wage garnishment has been threatened while being a mother of 2 with no income of my own. They refuse to work with you on anything and the second you are late on a payment they restart legal processes and you get even more court fees tacked on. Worst company I've ever had to deal with.

A person shouldn't have to highlight any stars to post. They don't deserve even a single star. Very poor customer service. They refused to except the payments I offered and sued me. They gave me forms to fill out that declared me indigent and unable to pay. I still offered payments and they stated they could not take payments do to my financial situation. They began calling my employer. I sent them a cease and desist order since they won't take my money there's no need for the harassment. They willingly ignore the court order to not be making contact. Calls my employer harassing myself and my employer still. This has been going on for 2 months. Time to sue

They are a collection attorney. Dan Spicer is a good attorney there, but impossible to reach them by phone# posted on their website. I'm sure there's another "backdoor" offline phone number, but they don't give that one out to the general public. Hey Dan, if u get this gimme a call. Lol

These guys are con artists banking on you NOT showing up to a judgement hearing. I encourage everyone to show up to the hearings requesting proof of debt WHICH THEY DON'T HAVE. I worked out an agreement with them to pay 100 dollars bi weekly which is every paycheck. In May of this year I switched jobs. I called Robin spoke to her and we made a new agreement because the finally payment for May did not go through . Well the bank resubmitted the payment on May 23rd and it went through. So I paid up for the month of May . Per our agreement I paid 200.00 on june 6th. Today I called trying to explain that the monthly agreement is 200 a month .. well they proceeded to tell me that is not the agreement.. Yes it is according to MY paperwork and they will be taking another payment out this pay day.. I hope with enough complaints the attorney general will look into their collection practices.. You make an agreement with someone and they twist it because the know they have the person backed into a wall

As much as I hate to admit this, they worked extremely well with me during a financial hardship and has allowed me to make payments towards a debt that I owe.

They have collected over 3 times what my debt was, they cleared my accounts multiple times over a $900 bill, they have now taken close to $2500 and they just sent me a letter saying I still owe the full amount. I have bank statements.

This company came off to me as money hungry individuals with no respect or courtesy to people. I am a brand new mom, just coming back to work from an unpaid maternity leave and have a family baby to support. Let me remind you my wages were garnished up until my maternity leave so I wasnt able to save any money to support myself and my new baby while i was not working. They will have made almost $800 extra off of garnishing my wages and wouldnt even agree to me paying $80 less than the full balance to go make this go away today. $80 may seem petty to a big company like this but unfortunately to me that is alot of money. Money I am assuming they arent short of. How money hungry are you people? I think you are heartless and extremely inconsiderate and greedy. DISGUSTING. From a title company, had a borrower who has a judgment to payoff. The firm would not send a payoff statement until they knew a closing date.

Obviously they didn't know the process of title clearance. We have to have the information of what the payoff amount it in order to clear the title and for the lender to determine if the loan will go through. They're NOT going to set a closing date with that uncertainty.

Customer service rep Tom said too often title companies request payoff statements and then it doesn't get paid. Well, Tom, that's because loans sometimes get denied based on the amount of liabilities to pay off. Sometimes borrower's change their minds about refinancing. Sometimes, there are other extenuating circumstances to stop a closing from happening. That can't be helped.

Instead of working together to get the money collected, Tom chose to be adversarial and block any progress.

Do you want to collect or not? Refusing to send a payoff statement guarantees you will not collect. I highly question the intelligence of their policies if they're going to impede their collection attempts with such an idiotic stance.

If you owe a debt don't bother trying to work with them. Go to court and have a lawyer. These people are ruthless and don't care that you have young children and on a limited income- they will pick you dry! They will talk nice to you the first two times and then turn nasty if they realize they won't get what they want out of you. let's not mention the 10 phone calls I receive DAILY sometimes back to back.

It's a law firm, if it was up to me I wouldn't be dealing with them, I've had very mixed moments calling and dealing with them on the phone, sometimes they are very professional and understanding, other times they are rude as can be, looking forward to a few more months down the road and never having to deal with them again though

This Messerli & Kramer PA had just served a 13 years old, because the parents aren't home. This firm is so getting in trouble if it continued this kind of behavior..., very very poor customer service, no matter how much you tried to communicate with this people...

I'm not a customer of Messerli and Kramer, however, I have been receiving harassing and nuisance calls to my home for an individual that I do not know and has not lived at my home or used my number. I've responded to their voice messages at a least 6 to 9 times to ask them to stop calling my phone number. They assure me that i will be removed from the data base and that I will not receive any more calls. This was never done as I continue to get these stupids. I have filed a complaint with the MN Attorney General as I want them to stop calling and I thought these calls were illegal, especially when it is the wrong party. They deserve zero stars as I could not post with a 0 rating.

I got a letter from them every year and give them what they need and continue to bug you I am exempt from this because of things listed and stated that today and I called and said I need that when in a letter I got from them said because of age of debt that it is forgiven by crediter and than they send out more stuff asking for asking for my Banking statement when the bank said it is exemp and a phone number to make payment options.

Definately know what they are doing, so never let a debt just set if they do not contact you. Save every form or letter they send you. Request that communivations are in written form. Make sure your debt is validated by the original company. If they send you a form that they are taking you to court, go to the court house and find out if they actually filed or if it is a threat. Know that if your original debt was sent to a collection company that they may have bought it for a significant lower amount. If you end up in court bring all your documentation with you for the judge to review.

Very unprofessional law firm, I have been extremely calm and collective having to wait for payments to clear etc etc. Having a "professional" law firm lie to me not once but twice is extremely disrespectful. Payment cleared 4/4, satisfaction letters were scheduled to be e-filed 4/4. Called 4/5 and satisfaction was not filed, called 4/6 and was told it was e-filed 4/5 at 8:30am. Called the county 4/6 and was told no record of any satisfaction letters were ever filed or signed. Called 4/7 multiple times only to find out the department I had been in contact with over the previous 3 weeks were closed. I was told 4/7 from another department at this place of business that my file was only scanned and not e-filed like stated before by two other employees. I am not happy with this law firm. You do not lie to a client you are representing. If I had to choose another law firm I would steer clear of this place. Worst experience. Stay away

Experience was what I expected to be. They are lawyers that are hired by debt collection agancies. The experience of having to deal with them sucks. That being said, those that I spoke and worked with were very professional and treated me with respect.
