When my elderly father unexpectedly needed to be placed in a nursing home for rehab, I did not have any knowledge of the elder care laws and how complicated they can be. I came across Haiman Hogue in my online search and am beyond grateful to have found them! Fred came personally to the nursing home with his notary and we took care of all of my fathers estate, medical power of attorneys, last will and testament, basically all his legal documents in case he would not be of sound mind at a later date and I would need to handle his affairs. At the time, I thought my father would only be in the nursing home for rehab for 1 month and felt at ease that Medicare would cover 20 days of that at 100%. However, I soon realized that he was not going to be leaving the nursing home again and he did not have any retirement funds to pay the exorbitant costs of being in a nursing home for long term care and Medicare does not pay for long term care. I reached out to Fred again for guidance and he referred me to Jeff Crouch in their office, he is their Medicaid attorney. Jeff helped guide me through the very time consuming and complicated laws of Medicaid while consistently keeping me updated throughout the process until he was approved. Just last Christmas, we needed to use Haiman Hogue again for an emergency medical situation that came up for my husband. Fred drew up the documents we needed immediately and we met with him and were able to get the documents needed. He even sat and just talked to us about family and other things going on in our lives for an additional 30-45min like we were old friends. I cannot say enough good things about Haiman Hogue, from Kim at the front desk who greets you like she has known you for years, to the attorneys who take care of all your legal needs as if you are family, They are an honest, Christian law firm who genuinely care about you and your needs.
