I have a very high drive pup and I travel for work on multiple short trips a month. Before finding Rustic Ranch I left him with many other boarding facilities. Those facilities either called me within a few hours of drop off and asked me to come pick him up or sedated him for the duration of his stay. Only at Rustic Ranch did the employees have the proper experience and understanding of K9 behavior and psychology to care for my high drive dog. While in their care he is provided with all the affection, exercise and structure to allow him to settle in and be a dog.
Other facilities won't even take your unfixed Male or they will keep him boxed up except for potty breaks. (No play time for natural dogs) This is because they do not have the proper experience to handle dogs, they just get away with it because the dogs they allow have had their hormone producing tissues ripped out of them. Other facilities are nothing more than money machines employing minimum wage handlers with flashy looking "bedrooms" or marketing.
At rustic ranch you get the benefit of true dog handlers and trainers with years of real world working dog experience. They are the only place I trust to care for my furry family members and you can trust them too.
PS. Free pick up and delivery saves me the drive time and saves the dog from feeling abandoned every time I leave him there. Instead he goes on a fun trip with his friends. This is SO MUCH EASIER on the dog!!!

The owner and staff are super friendly and very responsive. They sent us pictures of our dogs when we asked because our daughter was missing them while we were on vacation and they were at "camp." Highly recommend K9 Rustic Ranch for anyone who is looking to board their dogs.

I have a couple of rescue dogs that I love immensely but they have their quirks and need special care. I travel quite a bit and sometimes for multiple weeks at a time. Kristi and the folks at the K9 Rustic Ranch have been a true blessing for me and my pups. I know that they are being cared for as if they were at home with me, if not better. And they are having a blast getting lots of play time romping about at the Ranch. A gem of a dog boarding facility. More than worth the 1.5-2.0 hour drive from Orange County where I have found nothing close to the quality of the K9 Rustic Ranch in Valley Center.

Not easy for me to trust a dog boarder with my sight-challenged Labrador but these guys take excellent care and make sure the pups have plenty of playtime. Couldn't ask for more. They even do pickup and delivery if you like.

Kristi Riche and her team offer a great boarding facility for dogs and dog training. She is very easy to work with and my dogs are always happy to visit the ranch. When I traveled frequently, Kristi would come pick up my dog from my home and that was so helpful when you are pressed for time to get out of town. My dogs were always well groomed and very tired when they returned with a few good habits. I highly recommend Rustic Ranch.
