I got a aressted for a dwi last yr in july and should have not been arrested due to the fact the cop screwed up all the tests and new he made the errors and coffessed in court and was even unsure of himself on the video on his dash cam and asking me again to take off my heels and continued to do more tests when already told my dad he was taking me to jail for dwi. So made no sense. But in court peter lanzillo was my court appointed attorney and did such a great job! Had presentations with slide shows prepared and new the law better then the officer that arrested me and New exactly what he should have been updated on and really nailed him to the point he was getting nervous/agitated and even asked for glass of water as his face was red just to calm himself down from nerves . my attorney new i was not drunk and that this cop was just not doing his job properly which sent a good person to jail who suffered through a yr of hell for no reason but because of peter i am finally free and am very lucky i got him by chance and couldnt ask for Better! Sminu and Johnny reviewed my case with a fine toothed comb, under a microscope. I honestly didn’t have very high hopes, given what I knew about the evidence. But they presented reasoning as to why going to trial would be the best option instead of just accepting the plea deal, which wasn’t that great. I was hesitant at first, but then decided to trust their judgement. During pretrial, Sminu was able to make a compelling argument to the judge as to why the main piece of evidence was flawed and why it should not be admissible in court. Given the facts, it could have gone either way, and I am convinced that it is because of Sminu’s presentation to the judge that she decided the main piece of evidence in my case would not be admissible. His main argument was on point, his rebuttals were direct and compounding, and his closing is what I believe truly swung the gavel in our favor. It wasn’t cut and dry, and the judge forced him and the state to further delve into certain elements of the case that most people may not have been prepared for. The state was not, but Sminu was. He was able to pick apart elements of my case that I didn’t think possible. Because of this, what could have been a life altering scenario was completely avoided and my sentence was reduce drastically. The original plea deal was laughable compared to what the state now offered. I owe them greatly and am very grateful for how much time and preparation they put into my case. Their rates were very competitive as well.

If you're thinking about paying for "representation" from these attornies, do yourself a favor a think it over twice. A good attorney will listen to you, represent your interests, and fight for you.
