Waste of time. Instead of stopping deportation she asked volunteer departure on my behalf to immigration judge. just need to make money. Just because of her i got deported from USA. She is just money making organisation. I don't want to give any star but without star i can't even post my comment. Guys look out for White OR Jewish Lawyer. They can fight for you. The lawyer was arrested for forging documents and pocketing the money from clients and disbanding there case without notice how could this lawyer practise again her licence had been cancelled since 5 years .

I went for business related tax consultancy when I started my small business... Sherin made me sign a contract and asked me to pay $900 as initial deposit ... After that I never got any email from her or any service .. There was no legal services provided and she did not return my money ... I guess Karma caught up w/ her.

After seeing all these negative reviews, the best thing to do is to stay away from her !

This is called the law of nature where there is no lawyer but only one judge,the almighty! I had a very bad experience with her as well. she is good until you pay her after that her true color comes out.STAY AWAY! she is extremely rude, arrogant and egoistic person. she thinks that she is the only one on earth who knows everything and makes you feel that you are nothing. she out sources her work to the para-legals in many states even in NJ.She does not inform you about your case al all and when you call to inquire all you get is "we are working on it". if you all again she gets angry and tells you that if you call again then she will charge you $100 for every call.She takes a long time to proceed with your case and asks you to bring paperwork over again, guess she looses it.she keeps changing your case attorney.She would not proceed with your case until you pay her in full and she won't tell you that. i made installment plan and waited to here about the case and i got to know that it is sitting in the office until you pay in full, i would have if i have known which wasted 3 weeks, and then she had my case on hold cuz she thought even after 2-3 weeks that i haven't paid in full because they were changing their office,luckily i was able to retrieve the receipt from her receptionist. I can't forget the heck of troubles,stress and nightmares i've gone through because of her. I have not included very detail cuz i don't want to relive it.
just say away from her.She is just a M.F.B**CH.

Beware before going to this lawyer..She is suspended by USCIS, Her both office is sealed. She is very sweet talker before you sign contract with her and pay the money. Once you pay her, then she will start playing her game. She will not submit the document till last day and then demand more money. If you don't pay she will threaten you and will not submit your document.Also Once you made the payment, neither you will see her face nor she will talk to you or take your call, respond to your email. She is Extremely arrogant,She lies, Very Unprofessional Very rude and hardly gives
time and if at all she response your email it will be very ambiguous response. She will not give you copies of the documents she is submitting to the USCIS offce. I have requested so many times and she never gave me my copies of the documents.
Those who gave her 5 stars either they are her employees or friends. - trust me nobody can like her. She is the worst person I have ever interacted and I repent for engaging her as my immigration lawyer.

I recently became a client and can say, Sherin Thawer has been honest and forthright. I have found her to be more than trustworthy. Immigration is a very complicated matter and she took my case when no one else would have given it two looks, her office handled my work authorization and has been very helpful after a month i already had a work permit and the office is fast to respond to any questions that i ask .

7) She was banned because of all the things above and as we speak she can not practice.

I recently went to Sherin Thawer's law office to get more details and information to file for my mom's citizenship N-400 application. We needed to know what the qualification criteria was and if she was eligible. Sherin and her professional staff reviewed all the dates from my moms passport did the calculations and they were able to give me an accurate answer within one hour of my visit. I got precise list of things I need to have in order to file for my moms citizenship and timeline it will take. Thank you Sherin and the staff for the honest and professional work you folks are doing for our community. Keep it up!

I had a wonderful expierence with Sherin Thawer. In 2012 I hired Sherin Thawer and Associates. to help me file my N-400. In four months I got my Biometic and Interview notices. She also help me with studing for the exam. A month after my interview I received my Approval and Wlcome Notice to the US to become a citizen. My sister also hired Sherin to help her with adjustment of status. She got her approval notice within 4 mnths too.

I am not used to writing reviews at all, but Sherin needs one.I had a terrible customer experience with her, just consultation , but that too VERY BAD.I could not take it further as I was dealing with other issues.Find somebody POLITE and HONEST.

I regretted the moment I signed the contract with her office. I wanted to warn everyone that her contract is an 'entrapment', please don't do it. I payed for my brother's case but got trapped. Heres my experience. She is very Rude, Unprofessional, Money Hungry and during my case found out that her License is SUSPENDED. Very inefficient Paralegal staff, not very courteous. I had to get all the paper work and had to stay on them to file my case. I had to go to her office many times to drop papers off. I asked her If I had to go through all this trouble then why did I pay her office for it & got a very rude reply from her calling me 'typical desi attitude'. In short experience with her office was the most frustrating experience for me and I warn everyone 'Please be wise and consult someone else'. She can not practice legally anyway. I hope it helps.

A person who can not be on time and don't care about other people's time. What can you expect for an lawyer who make people wait for 2 hours for 2 days. Never trust a person like that.

Sherin is real fighter in Court ! Impeccable preparation knowledge and can beat her opponent into a PULP. We hired Sherin just 48 hours before the a huge federal trial for my brother who was in jail. We made the mistake of hiring a local American lawyer we paid him all the money upfront and he didnt do anything. He didnt even visit my brother in jail or even talk to us after we paid him. Later on we found out he made a dirty deal.

So through a very good friend in Dallas, we were referred to her and met and talked with her several times. This being a federal criminal case we were impressed she knew it. After interviewing lawyers from West coast to East coast, I found her to be the only one who was sincere and cared about the my brother. The rest were interested in the money or very negative on the case.

I had a pretty good experience with Sherin in helping my colleague attain residency in America. I believe he got his residency through the EB5 program where you put a certain amount of money up or something to get here. It's definitely a complicated ordeal but he never had any complaints that he voiced to me. I referred him to Sherin from hearing her on a radio show. So I wanted to at least put my 2cents in. All of the reviews below claiming her to be rude and arrogant seem a bit false and made up to me. Probably a disgruntled employee or something. Look at her Facebook page and see how many people she continues to help.

She is not only a "bad lawyer" but most importantly a "rude, horrible person". I have dealt with many lawyers unfortunately becz of the problems I was in. But she is the worst I have seen. I sometimes doubt that does she even went to Law school...her knowledge is poor and doesnt know about most of the laws. Sherin Thawer makes her staff do everything. She relies on them and does not even look at the paperwork. She wants the fee but does as little as she can. She is rude and does not answer only the questions she wants to answer. She does not care about her clients, all she wants is money. That is ok if she really does her part and not make her staff do it all for her, because they are only staff not lawyers. Do yourself a favor and do a search on the internet for her and you will see many rip off reports on her. It is better to go to a reliable lawyer who cares and actually handles your case and does not make their staff do all the work. In fact she did not even know I had left paperwork in her office for her and she kept having the staff email me to bring it in, we went over and over it and then a week later she found it on her desk, and guess what that was my fault! Also paid my fees to INS via Credit Card to her and she overcharged the fee and would not reimburse me! From now on check out all lawyers online and with the BBB!

Extremely Poor. DONT EVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF HIRING THIS LAWYER! Hello, Once she received the money, she dint even have time to talk to us. never told us what was happening. or how things are going to work out. the only thing she would say "you need to retain us or the amount you paid isn't enough to answer your question" in your face!!! she dint really know the law when asked her a legal question. All what she was interested in is making us pay more & more. she's got ego and attitude issues (is a fact) she will make you feel like you are not worth anything to her & that you are wasting her time even though you have paid in full & upfront. she thinks she graduated from a prestigious school so she should not be talking to us directly and your point of contact should only be with her secretary. (she brought this up several times on our appointment with her in which she was very rude) I was at the office & some Law enforcement officer called to inquire about one of her clients. (its my paid appointment and she answers the call) I assume this was a deportation officer. she said i dont know his current status or where he is working but let me ask him & call you back. then she calls the person (her client or use to be her client) & asks him about his status without informing him that there was an officer asking about his status. - common are you hired by the officer or the client? shouldn't you at least inform your client if there is an inquiry about him from some deportation officer? but the truth seemed obvious that she does not care or has any humbleness & wanted him to get into deportation or caught so then she can charge the client more money to represent him for deportation. She outsources her work to paralegals. never gives you her cellphone number even in emergencies or even if you are her client (calls you from blocked caller ID) so if you have an appointment at 8:00AM and you don't know where to meet her or have a question on what to bring u cant reach her! period! her office opens at 9:30 and so you miss out on your appointment. she is very very very angry & full on s*it even with her clients. super nice until you pay, but then her true color comes out. I don't have anything against anybody but as a human being i advice you to stay away from this lawyer even though she seems nice on her radio talk shows. STAY AWAY! and help your self from some sleepless nights (I dint say money - cause i know money is replaceable but the tension you get after meeting this lawyer is a nightmare.) Look im not a lawyer or paid to write this review. all i say here is the truth. I am from south India and i have the worst experience in my entire life with this lawyer. i just hope nobody else has to go through what i have been through with this lawyer. i recommend any other lawyer but this. I have no doubt the Sherin is a Capable Immigration Attorney. She seems over worked and annoyed when I asked her questions and details of her charges. When I asked her details about her charges to understand what services I would be paying for, she asked me about my national origin and made a remark, " You people are very finiky about money." in 25 years of my american life this was a first. I went to her on my wifes request. I am a former US department of Defence Emplyee, I have three degrees from USA and have been here since i was 18 years old. She is the first person who belittled me of my national origin. I am not so sure if I would retain her as my wifes attorney. She was not very professional with me. There are other attorneys in the market who are COURTEOUS.

I had a horrible experience with Sherin recently. She was 45 minutes late for my appointment. This after I had called just an hour before my appointment time to confirm. On top of which, when she finally arrived, instead of being apologetic, she showed my "attitude".

And please note that this was not even a free appointment - I was paying her for it. I was charged upfront as soon as I entered the office.

During the consultation, instead of working only on my case and focusing on the conversation, she was busy reading and signing other documents not related to my case.

Horrible experience - will never dare go back to see her for anything, nor will I recommend her to anyone.
