We feel the football game on Sunday added to the parking issues. The last time we attended at this location parking was not an issue.
Debbie and I talked about the event on our way home. We feel the only new information presented was regarding the new 10 year redemption period for IRA accounts. Nothing was said about the new RMD requirements, but that may be a topic for the accounts.
We appreciated the "no question" period. Many times the same question is asked by attendees. We suggest a type of round table sessions after the event with the four attorneys. Announce four different topics. Each one assigned to a different lawyer. We feel that too much time was spent on items that are not in the typical trust drawn by other attorneys and then you would announce that our trust already have provision or remedies for these items.
We appreciate your knowledge and thoroughness on our trust. We are
very confident that our trust will provide and protect us in the our future needs.

Topics relevant to my current needs. Well presented in an understandable way. Triggered questions which I will follow up on via telephone. Additionally, the buffet breakfast was generous and very good. Appreciate these regular meetings as well as the Q and As at other times. Thanks you, team, for your efforts to keep clients on top of all aspects of their Trusts.

The Saturday presentation in San Jose was very well done. Some suggestions to offer:
1) It would be good to pass out hard copies of slides shown (3 or 4 slides to a sheet, double sided pages) since the room is so large and long and the posts blocked the view of the screen for some people.
2) The refreshments were wonderful but may I suggest instead of so many sweet (yet delicious) desserts that something like fruit or veggies and dip might be a healthier offering along with all the other great choices.
3) Also along with the suggestion #1 - a short request for information or contact might be good, i.e., Please call me about__________.
4) You didn't bring up the great decision to offer the Trust Administration Credit. The Life Plan Membership Benefits page would have been a great added page to include, especially if people bring family with them who don't know all the benefits of the Life Plan.

The seminar was informative, but getting parking was frustrating. An advice to the Preston organization--please plan the seminar around a non sports weekend.. The venue that you chose was very convenient to Levis stadium and was packed right before the playoffs.

When I first got an invitation to attend The Preston Estate Planning workshop, I was skeptical. I have had a Leaving Trust prepared for me by another attorney and thought it was quite comprehensive until the Preston attorneys performed 14-point analysis during that workshop. It appeared that mine and practically all the Trust documents of other participants contained very important omission. When I came to the personal meeting with John Preston, all my skepticism was gone while discussing different scenarios that would be more applicable to my specific situation.

By the way, I tried to update my previous Trust using PC software (very cheap solution) - it just didn’t have enough flexibility to put forward any specifics into generated document.

My wife and I attended the recent Anaheim presentation. We were happy that it started on time as sometimes these things can get delayed a bit. Even though Mr. Preston's microphone was not working too well at the beginning, everything went off without a hitch.
We were pleasantly surprised that coffee and snacks were provided for the guests.
The presentation was very informative, and we liked that all three attorneys gave us valuable information on the new tax laws while keeping things light and fun.
I would definitely recommend to all Preston clients to take advantage of attending the next meeting especially if you haven't been to one before.

I had Preston update our trust after moving here. I am so impressed by their thoroughness. They not only worry about what happens after I’m gone; they also helped me plan for what could happen before I check out of this life. Regular workshops are well worth attending. Others’ questions are sometimes very instructive. We can’t know what we don’t know enough to ask about. Frequently the expansion of an answer to a specific question is very helpful. I also appreciate regular mailings that are topical and that remind me to make updates to the trust as needed.

My wife and I have learned a great deal from the Preston Estate Planning team. They have given us the tools we need to ensure that our estate will go to our kids and our grand kids. Preston operates very professionally in setting up programs and educating clients on what to do and what not to do regarding their estate planning.

Never had a problem you could not solve or point us in the right direction.

Did not realize, or maybe forgot, the meeting was an open forum format. Many questions were of little interest. Trusts are confusing, recommend in an depth review on a few elements at each meeting to ensure clients through understanding.

Question and answer sessions are very informative, allowing new topics to be heard and addressed.

I thought the program input was very well thought out at the 9 am session and I really appreciate the process of helping thru the “ learning curve” of our Trusts. All 3 panel members were most knowledgeable. I Loved it!

Aside from the sound situation, these seminars really open up my eyes and my understanding. Listening from my fellow seminar's questions, situation and problems was very enlightening. Guaranteed I will continue to come to these seminars. Unfortunately my wife was not able to attend. Granddaughter was with us for the summer since we are the caretakers. The Preston Estate Planning has handled our Trust since 1988. We are now working under the Sixth Amendment. While in years past we handled estate planning by a shake of the hand and a smile, we have grown into a nightmare of laws and more paperwork. John and members of his firm have led us through the maze several times. In the last seminar, we learned more about the trials and tribulations of distribution of assets than we could ever have imagined. The annual review of the Trust Agreement has been extremely helpful for our future plans. I know that when we have the need, the "Preston Gang" will be there to assist. Thank you, John and staff!

The only other meeting we had attended was the one, I think it was in January in Mission Valley, that was packed to the gills. The meeting on September 13th, also in Mission Valley, was much more enjoyable due to the number of people in attendance making it very comfortable, the ability to ask whatever questions you had, and the length of the meeting. We appreciated the way the questions were repeated by the facilitator so everyone could hear (my husband is hard of hearing), the way the three men shared answering of the questions, and the fact that the vocabulary used in answering the questions was pretty much understandable. It was definitely worth attending.

Good pace to the meeting & I got my question answered in sufficient detail. I really appreciate that it moved along quickly. Well done!

Excellent legal design and support of Living Trust. Sometimes a
little confusion about detailed paperwork required for complete
registration of assets and transfer of estate assets.

We have been with Preston organization for many years and we have nothing but great services from them. The best thing is that they take care of our estate planning and protection automatically without almost any effort from our side. They used to have quarterly videos mailed to us so we can keep updated on various topics and now we can get online. The frequent big physical gathering presentations in Northern California have been very helpful to keep up with all new changes regarding to our estate planning too. The new Q&A sessions newly started are superb to attend and we will always attend just to listen to their presentation as well as many questions asked during the session. The last one held in San Jose was great. Previous one in Walnut creek was held in a small room which was not that great but information we got was great and helpful. We are glad that we have joined Preston's great group taking care of us even geographically we reside in Northern California for which we have not had any problem with their services.

John’s presentation displayed his many years of experience in this field and he made this sometimes-difficult topic easier to understand with his quick wit and humor.
Once I received the trust documents for review, I went through each and every chapter deliberately since I wanted to understand what my husband and I were putting our signatures to. It was a very informative workshop on living trust. We learned a lot of what to do on different situations related to asset preservation and distribution when something happens to the trust owners.

I am an attorney, but do not practice in the area of estate planning. Even though I know a number of lawyers and law firms which do practice in this area, I chose the Preston firm after listening to a presentation and conducting an interview with Mr. Preston. I was very impressed with this firm when I first went to a presentation of estate planning by Mr. John Preston and his associates. I thought it was going to be pitch to get mine and everyone attending business. It was VERY INFORMATIVE. Very detailed with topics that were of interest when planning your estate. Most of the questions and answers were relevant to my own interests. The audio issues should have been tested and resolved ahead of the start time.

Experts who are always looking out for the best interests of their clients. We had a trust with a different lawyer. It sat gathering dust for nearly 20 years. Only after we requested transferring the trust to Preston Estate Planning did the now retired lawyer recommend updating the trust.
