Working with Maya Pinchman has been the best choice I've made since I began needing legal advice and services several months ago when my mother had a severe stroke. She is working quickly and thoroughly to bring my family into a safe and sorted state in respects to my parents needs for care and insurance coverage as well as ensuring all our legal and financial documents are squared away and properly organized. Leading up to our father's death, as we needed to get all of his and our family's affairs in order, Steven Ratner handled every detail beautifully and seamlessly. He sincerely cares about his clients and has amazing follow-through. After a full assessment of our needs, Mr. Ratner explained everything in simple terms, and helped us make the best possible decisions. He treated my parents with absolute respect. He has called me back after hours and weekends. The entire staff including his partner Maya Pinchman are competent, professional, attentive and caring. I don't know where all of these positive reviews come from! I contacted Maya Pinchman weeks ago and left a message and then another. I called today and spoke to the receptionist (who refused to give me her name but it's on Jayda - on the website!). I asked her if she could please take a message since this was a time sensitive issue and I hadn't heard back from Maya Pinchman. She paused and then hemmed and hawed and asked why (I had already said) and fell silent as if she was preoccupied with doing her nails in her baby voice and couldn't be bothered. Then she said, "Why don't I just transfer you to her voicemail." Ugh! I had already politely explained that I had left multiple messages that were not returned so perhaps there is a problem with the voicemail (being KIND here!). I asked for her name and she said "The receptionist" - I asked again and she repeated "The receptionist". There seems to be zero accountability with this firm and zero helpfulness. I would not have been prompted to leave a negative review but for the time wasted with a receptionist that can't be bothered to take down a simple message - name and number - that wold have been done in 5 seconds. My sense is that if the attorneys can't be bothered, then the "receptionist" probably feels the same way! I was referred by a very well respected attorney so I will let them know about my experience and the lack of responsiveness. I also noticed that Maya Pinchman graduated from Cal Western, one of the lowest ranked schools in the country. So that helped to calibrate my expectations and flee!

Both Ratner & Pinchman have been extremely helpful in assisting my elderly mother in setting up a trust and handling her Medi-Cal application. They were friendly, patient and efficient in providing services. They demonstrate genuine concern for their clients and give attention to details in all that they do.
