Ellen Bab was a very hostile woman who induced a panic attack when she called my phone incessantly until I answered. Frantic, she couldn't stop talking over me, but expected me to answer her barrage of questions. An extremely unpleasant experience that got us absolutely nowhere.

Hire her if you want to have fear tactics to make you think you need a lawyer when you don’t used against you during the most vulnerable time in your life and on top of that misled about what the payment she receives covers. She made fearful statements caused us to think there was danger of needing a lawyer when we later discovered there wasn’t and She charged $2500 knowing we would never need it and making both people present believe that was for 10hours of work on this or future case. But the only thing that didn’t change later was that it was non refundable. On top of everything else she barely ever answered my calls or textsLawyers get a bad rep but she is truly a terrible person. Do your research and find someone better. Someone below mentioned she only cares about the money and that is 100% correct. That reviewer was lucky not to have enough money to waste hiring her. Don’t make the same mistake I made.

Ellen Babb is very disrespectful and she is about money and not about her customers, she has a nasty attitude... I don't even know how she's in busy she will take your words and flip them around

In 2014 my daughter was taken by DSS. My life was a wreck. I met Ellen Babbs, she met with me and explained everything. She kept me up to date and informed. In a time in which my world was crumbling. We went to court and she was amazing . We regained custody of our daughter. As the years has passed . I'm now a single father who needed advise and help ... Ms. Babb again has been there and has checked up on me multiple times since our first dealings. I recommend her to anyone she is an amazing lawyer and a even better person. If you hire an attorney and it's not her you hired the wrong attorney...

Ms. Babb is a super hero ! She is smart, tactful, aggressive in the court room and she is an amazing problem solver. She’s definitely not into the dramatics of any of it. Tell her what you need and call it done! I think she may have beat a world record with my case! WE WON YESTERDAY ! SHES worth every penny ! Oh and she has another attorney in her firm I’ve had the pleasure to work with ms. Hope, she is as well a great lawyer. They are Definitely about family reunification!

I reached out to this attorney for a DSS case that was quite uexpected, be aware that this attorney will not speak to you unless you have all the money in the world to fight and pay for it right them. She proceeded to tell me how blessed their firm is to be busy but apparently not so blessed they can actually help families who need help and don't have a 6 figure income. This firm cares about money not people.

I reached out to Mrs. Babb regarding a very serious issue for me May of this yr. I wrote to her after finding her on the web. I was looking for an atty to help me fight DSS and her page made it seem like she was one of the best. I was looking to gain custody of my 3 grandbabies. After reaching out to her, she called me a few days later. She sounded very hopeful and positive regarding my case. It was almost like my prayers were being answered. She asked that I drive to her office in Mt. Pleasant which was a 2 1/2 hr drive for me. During our conversation I asked how much money I needed to bring, she said no money was required. After arriving in Mt. Pleasant, my sister and I spent several hrs telling Mrs. Babb and another atty (an atty for the civil case) my story. At the end. . . Her and the other atty stepped out the room to discuss my case. When they came back, Mrs. Babb told me that her retainer fee would be $5000.00. I explained to her that I didn’t have $5000 up front but I could give her $2500 that day and pay the remainder within a few wks. She quickly told me no. She had to have the full retainer up front. The other atty did agree to obtain medical records that were needed; which I greatly appreciated. . . However, were never obtained.
After leaving her office, I reached out to Mrs. Babbs via email a few wks later. She never responded to me. I reached out to the other atty also via email and phone. . .Again, no response. I left messages with his secretary about the medical records which a medical release form had already been signed. Again, that was in May and I have yet to hear from either. I was looking to retain Mrs. Babb after saving up the money. Sadly, she gave me great hope in the beginning, but ended up being a huge let down. I was able to retain an atty. . . And lucky for me this atty allowed me to pay my retainer using an installment plan. And it wasn’t like I took yrs to pay, just a few months. Anyway, I have custody of my 3 grandbabies and that’s what’s most important. I just wish Mrs. Babb would have been honest with me from the beginning. Or atleast returned my emails and just talked to me. I understand her services cost. . . And I was willing to pay. I’m not rich and didn’t have it that day, but was prepared to get it. It’s almost like once she found out I didn’t have all this money to give her, she was done. To atleast return my emails and advise me to seek other representation would have been greatly respected.

Mrs. Babb is nice a good listener and up front with you. She gives good advice and helps you through your problems. She is a great lawyer..

It was a horrible experienc. The firm didn't help me get my kids .The firm worked against me and my daughter was injured in her privates while in the fathers custody & no one looked into my child's injuries,they slipped it under the rug saying my child did it to herself and my child didn't as I believe. . Well here it is years later . The father has the kids and he has been to jail several times and the kids have been placed in protective services custody and I have no way to get my kids. So I wouldn't hire This law firm to help you they didn't help me . Just my experience . They did more to help the father of my children then they did me. They made huge mistakes cost me and my children a lot of damages . Horrible lying law firm .tbey where very unprepared for my case. They didn't even know one case from someone else's. They keep mixing my case up with their other cases . Very unknoledgable of laws also.
