My case was an N -400 , petition for citizenship . Since I had an arrest and record in my background history , I wanted to hire the best attorney to handle my case . In this preparation I consulted a total of 7 attorneys on the dfw area to find out my options and the best possible pathway . Most of the attorney gave a very fluid advise about their approach and wasn't sure about the outcome of their approach . I've been a client of the Verdin law firm since 2010. From the moment I was placed in removal proceedings, I thought I had a lost cause on my hands with no hope for any sort of relief. Mr. Verdin reassured me that at the very least, we could buy me a lot of time, and that he did. Miraculously, within that time frame new legislation was passed and I was left alone to live in peace in the country.

Having lived in the country since I was 2, it was still appalling that someone living here for over 20 years was still undocumented and unable to pursue his desires despite all his merit and hard work. It turned out that around the same time that I was eligible for DACA. And receiving that work permit was the pinnacle of my professional life up until that point.
