We hired Carrie to help with obtaining US citizenship for my father. She is an excellent lawyer and gave us an accurate account of what the process would be like for his specific case. In November of last year I was pulled over and the officer who pulled me over asked me about my citizenship status, I was honest and told him I was not a resident or a citizen so I was detained, My wife went to Carrie Nguyen to help with my case and she did help release me out on bond.. About two months later my wife and I went back to Ms. Nguyen and spoke about getting me my green card, my wife gave a $1500 down payment and was told that the total would be $6000 until they were in the back room when Ms. Nguyen added an extra $1225, which we were okay with BUT four days after we left her office Ms. Nguyen had her assistant call and add an extra $1000 fee which she forgot to mention. The same day the messaged was left I went to the office and Ms. Nguyen Although she was gonna keep $500 for doing nothing said she would refund $1000 but she has yet to do so. We have pictures of the contract and the emails where both her and her assistant both state they forgot to mention the $1000 of government fees. I just want our side of the story to be out there because we thought she was going to help us, we trusted her to do a good job like she had did before. This is my first review but my wife and kids have posted about our story on their social media as well.

It would be great if they came out straight forward to their clients about the whole price for their services. From Monday to Friday when they contacted me about an extra $1000 added to my contract (her or her assistant forgot about it when we were in the office on Monday) not even a full five days that she would charge us for what she said were government fees but we did our research, talked to several other attorneys and we didn't have to pay some of the fees she was talking about.. She kept 1,500 for doing nothing. I can say she did help to get my husband released from ICE but the second time we hired her to help with my husband's green card she did nothing to help us and ripped us off.

When we first arrived we talked to Ms. Carey, she told us that it would be 6,000 but when we were pulled back into the room the assistant wrote in an additional 1,225. That was on Mon. June 18 and on Fri. June 22 we got a phone call from her assistant Daisy about the government fees which were 1,000 that she claims she forgot to mention. If you see our contract you can see where she wrote in 1,225. If someone makes a mistake and doesn't put a fee in their contract I understand but you are talking about two fees that add up to 2,225.

Got a notification today about the approval of my GC. My case was fairly straightforward but Carrie made it a walk in the park. I’ve been working with Carrie since January 2015, she helped me get my DACA approved. After my DACA was approved, she helped me apply for my parole in place and got me my green card through my husband who is in the military. I was with a bigger law firm before, and it was very difficult to talk to the attorney directly. I was with them for about 14 years and I was paying thousands of dollars trying to get my green card and did not see any progress in my case. I wanted to find an attorney who would talk with me directly and I found that with Carrie.
