Kathy is great. A wonderful person both professionally and in general, one that has an increasingly rare but valuable trait I admire a lot: she will always be up front with you. If youre going to have to go to jail, she will not beat around the bush.
That said, she gets things done and done well, you can count on her to do her absolute best to give you the best outcome possible.
She is experienced in her field, can relay the situation to you in a casual manner(aka you can understand whats going on with your case even if you are not familiar with these kinds of matters), and she really makes you feel like she has a personal interest in seeing to you having the best outcome possible. It's almost like you want to give her a hug when you leave the office instead of shake her hand. lol.

❌❌❌❌❌-It's unfortunate that there are people out there like this woman who are still in business. Unprofessional is an understatement, she is disrespectful, degrading and above all racist! My experience with this woman was more than disappointing, my boyfriend hired Kathy because of her extensive background and the fact that she was ex-military just like him, on paper she seems great but in reality she doesn't care. She will not fight for you or educate you on your rights REGARDLESS of what you have done. I personally witnessed her yell at my boyfriend and multiple other people right outside the courtroom, told him to "take his paper and sit down," as if he was a child she was scolding, "don't talk to him," to another individual and my boyfriend. She demanded that he sign some paper without explaining what she was trying to get him to sign, not to mention told him to hurry up and sign then proceeded to snatch her pen out of his hand. My boyfriend is a grown man, 33 years old, who fought for our country and she was treating him like no one should EVER be treated or talked to. I feel that if the judge had to tell you to be quiet and to calm down, that maybe you need to look in the mirror! Everyone in that courtroom was baffled by her attitude and actions. I am writing this to warn you that if you are of a different race other than cacuasion she will NOT fight for you, she will take your money.... talk to you worse than dirt under her shoes.... and literally make a simple situation miserable. Her staff is unprofessional and rude as well, they put absolutely NO EFFORT into helping an individual become educated and to figure out any type of options. I have seen that she is quick to respond and deflect any responsibility for being a troubled person, so Kathy you will NOT find my name in your database because I wasn't your client but your actions and lack of respect for people have effected me enough that I have to warn people about you! Kathy is an amazing attorney, she saved my son with a case because she believed in him. I will always be grateful for her and her staff for what they have given back my family. I thank God for her everyday! She will fight for you! And she’s not afraid and won’t back down to anyone! But know she is only human although we thought she walked on water lol! To the person that said save your money I’m glad I didn’t take that advice! To be honest we were afraid because we didn’t understand nor trust the system and seemed like our case would never be over and there was no hope, she was honest with us and never sugar coated our situation. Kathy represented me in a recent officer involved shooting. She hands down worked endlessly to prepare for my trial. I truly believe she used every available resource and even brought on a second attorney in to help with the case. Kathy will fight for you in court and knows what she’s doing. I have read some of the reviews here - Kathy has helped me twice and a friend of mine once. Some of the negative reviews I read lead me to think you are discussing a different attorney or something - this is the attorney I chose for myself. She has always been very forthcoming and shoots straight from the hip - she tells the truth. Do you know what her prior experience is? She knows what she speaks of - first thing she ask when you walk into her office? "what did you say?" Can't get anymore direct and helpful information from any attorney than that. She has absolutely taken care of me for a very reasonable amount when I needed help I honestly believe she wants what is right and it is not about anything else. I have hired her services in the past and [hopefully] I never will again - but this lawyer is the one I choose - I've had a couple before her - same or worse results for a lot more money. Kathy was truly a blessing to me. When I hired her I was on a blue warrant I came to her seeking for help other attorneys wanted to charge me so much for what I was trying to do. I was on probation for 7 years and I was constantly being accused of doing things I was not doing. All I wanted to do was take my time and end this nightmare but was afraid that they would not lower the offers i had received prior. Kathy made me feel very safe and confident in my decision. The lowest amount they would offer me before her was 10 years TDC time. The day I had to go to court I sat in the hall way I never went into the court room she came back and she was able to get me 3 years she explained to me that I would do a turn around because I had enough back time. I went in October 2017 and was back home by February 2018, 4 months!!!! I was released on parole and I am happy to say that I will finish parole this Friday October 2019 and I truly thank her for all her hard work. Sometimes people just want to be let off from doing a crime , understand that when you break the law there are consequences. I was never looking for her to get me no time at all , I was just looking to receive the amount of time that was fair. She defiantly did that for me!!!!

Words can’t never be enough to describe how grateful our family is for Kathy’s efforts to defend my brother. He was charged with a serious offense. He came to Kathy after we had bad experience with the first attorney who showed up late to most of the pre-trial dates, didn’t spend time to help us understand the law and our defense. Contrary to the first attorney, Kathy provided a free consultation to go through the case and provided us with her initial opinion. Her knowledge of the law and experience have put us as ease and decided to forgo the money we paid to the first attorney and have her as our attorney. Although we are still on trial and will get the verdict tomorrow, we have fully satisfied with what she has done for us so far. Not only has she done what a good attorney do, her ethics, expertise and passion have been above and beyond our expectations or anyone’s I believe. Her fees are also reasonable. My husband has a very high profile case, and I have to say we couldn't have asked for a better attorney. Kathy is amazing. She has worked endlessly and is extremely engaged, thorough, and forthcoming.

Needed a Lawyer and heard Kathy's name mentioned and that she was a fighter. Called her up and she asked me all the hard questions. Felt very comfortable with the direction she said she would take me in my case. Kathy and her office staff think outside the box. Definitely wish I had Kathy on my side from the beginning.

Kathys office refused my rightful refund. I put Kathy on retainer and began making payments prior to Kathy doing any work on my case besides the free consultation and being on the list of client to inquire about court dates(of which I had none). A little over a year later, I no longer needed representation and they refused to refund me any money-will try and get every dollar out of you they can. Beware.

This lady did not explain to me that I had a court appointed lawyer. I wasn’t aware of this at the time, but she was good at explaining everything else on my case file except for that important detail. This was my first time ever needing a lawyer, I’m very inexperienced when it comes to these type of things, my father who doesn’t speak english very well was much less aware...Took advantage of what we didn’t know. Payed her 300+ dollars to start with, luckily i didnt pay this lady anymore. She hasn’t even attempted to contact me after I payed her. The front desk girl was very rude and laughed when I explained my case. I don’t usually write reviews unless I really feel like it’ll help someone, I am not doing this to bash her, just stating my honest experience with this lawyer. Do not go to this lawyer for anything.

Never stepped foot into the courtroom! She let me know that she was not like any other attorney that takes advantage of people by over charging! Kathy ran a little late for our appointment but I was placed in her office and we began talking about my case over the phone while she was in route to the office because of heavy traffic. Very down to earth and she’s definitely a gladiator!. We coincidentally had the same boss at a local restaurant, which made me a little bit more comfortable. She explained my charge to me and why it was a felony and my options. I was charged with family violence with choking which was completely fabricated. She cleared my name and I don’t have to stand in a line to check in like a fugitive or something.Very clear and very fair. She’s a fighter and I’d recommend her to anyone any day!. I went to see Kathy in 2012 to have a misdemeanor fought down or dismissed. She did the absolute least amount to earn her fees. Kathy didn't get the police video and would never answer the phone or return calls/voice mails.

I didn't get to see or talk her once between the initial visit/payment and when it became time to see the judge. I could only get a hold of her assistant, who never seemed to know anything. Once we went to court all she said was to plead guilty.

At the time I was a college student and definitely inexperienced in dealing with the courts and lawyers. Busy with classes and finding work, my time was very limited and it shouldnt have been spent hounding her office to get any information or the police videos, which she said she was going to get.

I'm older now, have graduated, and finally realize the total lack of support I received from Kathy when we saw the judge. I also question why I didn't see the potential bias since she is an ex-police officer, and just move on to a different lawyer.

This woman got me first conviction on a case I could have beat & its still haunting me till this day. I regret having her as an attorney so much, She never even visited me to talk about my case while I was in jail or anything however I was unfamiliar with the law. This woman is a common day scam artist! My boyfriend was offered 4 years with his court appointed attorney. The decison was made to hire Kathy and after almost paying 2k and this woman stating "she promises she'll do a good job" guess what the result was? 4 years! Do not waste your time or money.

Modern day con artist . Says a bunch of mumbo jumbo gets your money . Tells you to sign on whatever deals the district attorney gives you . She's full of it . Watch out !!!

She's a great lawyer, I had 3 felony charges that I knew I was guilty of and she got me a deal of a lifetime. I plead guilty to one charge and the other 2 got no billed, on top of that it would be 90 days 12-44 A or 2 years probation
I wish I would took the 90 days because probation is hell but overall she is a great lawyer
