Drowning in debt and unsure if bankruptcy was my only & best option, I needed help! Since I didn't know how to choose an experienced, qualified attorney I contacted the San Diego Bar Association Referral Service for assistance. They referred me to Daniel and 2 other attorneys. After reviewing the background for each I chose Daniel not only for his expertise with all types of bankruptcy but his experience with loan modifications, foreclosures, credit counseling, debt collection etc.
When we met he explained the bankruptcy process, types, requirements and more. He explained how bankruptcy affects property, credit, liens and judgments. After reviewing our situation, calculating assets and overall debt he determined bankruptcy was not an option for us. Instead, he recommended contacting each creditor to offer a payoff plan based on a reduction in the amount owed. Although he couldn't resolve my issues he provided valuable information, identified items of concern/priority and gave me clear direction on what to do next.
