I want start off by saying in my one case I had to go through a few attorneys before I ended up in Marcus E. Debose's office. My first attorney ended up having to plead guilty to a case & my 2nd attorney that I ended up with afterwords made no effort or time for me. After these first two experiences with attorney I had already formulated an opinion about all attorney's, that they all must be some combination of a crook and robot. It wasn't until I stepped into Marcus's office that I experienced something that completely changed my perspective, I came in the first time extremely skeptical and left thinking, this was very different. Marcus treated me extremely respectable and very understanding. His team never made me feel like I didt understand what was happening or going to happen. I was always filled in and cared for. I found out about the Ertz Law Group through a friend and Met with Marcus after I was arrested with possession of a Controlled substance(100 pills of MDMA) in January. I was released without seeing the judge after 3 days in jail thinking i was fine and free. 2 Months later a detective with a warrant showed up at my door knocking and yelling my name for the longest 15 minutes of my life at 6:45am a wednesday morning in March. I stayed silent, Frightened and shocked in a closet upstairs getting in comfortable clothes just in case i had to go to jail and then I called Marcus (waking him up). He awoke immediately handling business. I paid and signed up as an official client of Ertz Law Group signing paper work that morning and boy was it worth it.

Marcus got the warrant taken away almost instantly as he promised my presence in court first thing Friday morning. He showed up more prepared than I could ever hope for driving up from San Diego to LA with a hired Bail Bondsman in case i was sentenced. I got what could have been 4 years in jail, but instead plead guilty to enter the Differed Entry of Judgement Program(PC 1000) for first time Drug Offenders. Its a 4 month Drug Program in rep with 4 months of AA, CA or NA. It was a dream come true to tell my parents from my cell phone I wasn't going to jail that morning.

I have now found a new love for life and taken on responsibility with a new energy because I was given a 2nd chance. I stand before you today a free man 8 months later as my case was DISMISSED by the judge. That's no probation, nothing. It's like the case never even happened. He looked me up and down, as for my lawyer was beside me each of the 3 times I appeared in court, dressed properly and prepared for the best, and gave me a 2nd chance because of the professionalism of my representation. I owe so much to Ertz Law Group.

I will thank them for rest of my life. Although I am happy to be free with no record, I shall never forget my darkest and most vulnerable time when I awoke with a detective yelling my full name and apartment number to come outside while I stayed upstairs scared for my life in a closet until I called Ertz Law Group. The Ertz Law Group is by far the best group of professionals I have come across. Not only did Ertz represent me in court while fighting a DUI case but also they checked up on me during the process of that very difficult time. My initial charge was DUI and came out with a Reckless Driving (non alcohol related), a small fine and community service. When I went to meet with Marcus DeBose for the first time I was extremely skeptical. I have 4 DUI's, which makes me a felon, and I bailed out on probation. Which is a big No No! With now a felony warrant out for my arrest. Yet, he assured me that I wouldn't see jail time, still skeptical, I hired him. Up until my court date Marcus and Abby were extremely helpful!!! Abby called me every week to give me updates and to make sure I was being safe. Very kind! With the warrant out I was somehow at ease because of these calls. My court date came up and I have to say it was AMAZING! Which is weird to say, I understand but it was. It went by so quickly. Literally took 5 mins. Which is not what I am used to. Not only am I felon but a felon who skipped town and never finished her DUI class. Marcus and Abby somehow got me off Formal Probation and NO! new charges were added!!! Like I said AMAZING!!!! I met a girl in jail once doing a county year just for not doing here 18 month program. Which would have been me had I not hired this firm. Now I am back to my normal life, finally with the worst behind me and it feels GREAT!!!! Thanks to Abby and Marcus.

I was pulled over a few days before Christmas in December of 2011 and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and DUI. While sitting in jail waiting to be bailed out, all I could think about was the complete disaster I had just created in my life. I was worried about jail and the potential problems a criminal record involving DUI and drug possession would have on my family and career. I was a bit of a basket case at the time because of my concerns and the fact that I had no idea of where all of my problems were going to lead. Once I was bailed out I was fortunate to obtain a reference for Marcus and Abby at the Ertz Law group. I phoned and spoke with Marcus who asked me a few questions then quickly put me at some ease with his comments. I was in the process of traveling to visit family and Marcus was able to assure me that we could handle my case by phone and email, which was a big relief. I emailed Marcus and Abby all of the information that they asked for and I really felt that they were interested in me as a person. I was very impressed on how Abby and Marcus stayed in constant touch with me by email and phone to keep me updated on my case. Once they had the police report, which they obviously meticulously reviewed, they found potential issues with it and suggested some defense strategies. Marcus attended my DMV hearing and the first great news I obtained was that I would have my driver's license reinstated and the DUI charge would be set aside. Subsequent to my DMV hearing, Abby was involved with several preliminary criminal court hearings where she was ultimately able to negotiate a plea agreement on my behalf. The original felony possession and DUI charges were dropped and I plead guilty to a "wet and reckless" driving charge! During the entire time Marcus and Abby handled my case, they were very realistic and never over-promised results and I respect that very much.
