I consigned a $1200.00 item to them and that I wanted a reserve of $500.00. They told me that they would make a note about the reserve price. They sold my consigned item for $160.00. I asked what happened to the reserve price we agreed to and I was told they forgot about the reserve price. So it turns out that I learned a very expensive lesson about Mudd’s Auction House (Hill Country Liquidators).

Also make sure you checkout any items your interested in buying thoroughly because most items have some kind of damage that will keep it from working. I was stupid enough to buy a brand new rolling duffel bag with the tags on it. I opened the bottom zipper and all these hard plastic pieces fell out and the pull out handle was broken and would not pull out. The only way you would find the broken pieces is to open the back flap that hides all the hardware. When they where auctioning off this rolling duffel bag, they stated it was brand new and still had all the new tags on it. If someone tells me something is brand new, I would expect it to not have any damage. I brought this to their attention before I paid out and they said that I was out of luck because I didn’t completely expect it. I told them that I didn’t see the item until they pulled it out from under a table to auction it off. Again I reminded them that they said the item was brand new with tags. Never trust anything they say. They will say anything to sell an item. This company is very dishonest and does not care about the sellers or the buyers.
