I spoke to Mark Miller today to ask questions regarding becoming a new client for our adoption. He was extremely rude and acted as if I did not matter to him at all. He acted extremely bothered and hurried through our 2 minute conversation and refused to answer anything I asked him. His only consistent answer was “did you read the email?” I was referred to him and honestly answered that I had not read the entire 100+ page email that was sent to me by the referral, not by him, and that I just wanted to know how to get started which the email did not state. He then laughed when I said “you’re clearly busy and I am sorry for taking up your time but can you please just answer my one question?”

Treating a new potential client this way is completely unacceptable, especially a new client that has been through years of infertility and looking into something as sensitive as adoption. I have never been spoken down to this way before and was in tears before the 2 minute conversation ended. If he is able to get away with speaking to potential clients this way, I can only imagine how he treats the pregnant birth-mothers that he is in contact with throughout their pregnancy. Stressed birth-mothers = stressed pregnancies and babies and a women that is brave enough to give her child away should never have to deal with his arrogance, nor should a woman trying to adopt. He is clearly only in the adoption business for the money and has zero compassion to what others are going through. We will gladly spend our $35/40,000 elsewhere!
