Daniel Wannamaker was the best attorney I could ask for. My husband was facing a life sentence on a serious crime. A RICCO case to be specific. Dan defended a young lady who is like my daughter. I have never had to go through anything like this before and Dan made things so much easier to get through. Great attorney, Hyper responsive, reasonably priced. Dan worked with me on my case for just over 12 months, but then after the outcome he was still available for emails and phone calls when I had questions. And I knew he was working some high profile cases at the time so I could easily have felt brushed aside.
One important thing to know is that this is not a "shop", where he turns your case over to some junior attorney and you only speak with him on an initial consultation. Many attorneys use that trick...let the most senior partner speak with potential clients, then you hire the firm, and you end up with a green attorney who is overworked and underpaid. Nope. Not here, not with Dan.
Sucks you got in a situation where you need someone like him...but I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Dan is the man!

Dan was my attorney for a Federal 200 lb marijuana case. ima third time offender and was worried about being labeled a career offender which carries 12 yrs. Hands down the best Attorney in Austin for Criminal Defense. He works in Houston Austin Georgetown you name it. He is respected in the federal and state courtrooms. I have met a couple of his clients and they love him. He is one of the only people I know to have gotten a presidential pardon for someone. Seriously amazing
