Worst attorney ever Robert Garrity Jr was suppose to attend court on our behalf and did not show. Best yet didn't even notify us of that court date, then conceals it, to only find out through opposing parties counsel of the contempt for failure to appear which resulted in over a 2800 dollar fine . When confronting him and his secretary about this, he sends a text message that he is withdrawing from the case after being paid more than $5000 and causing over 2800 in fines. He does not need to practice law. he needs to be disbarred.

Mr. Garrity has been my attorney for over 25 years. He has always handled my personal and business affairs with my best interest at hand. Mr. Garrity has represented me in court for child custody, I ended up with more then I thought I would of received both money and custody. Robert Garrity Jr. was referred to me by a friend for my custody and child support hearing. Not only did this man take $5500.00 dollars from me, he had the lawyer fresh out of law school do all the paperwork. The end result, he didn't do a damn thing for me that I didn't negotiate myself for in the hearing. He came in for the hearings, didn't brief me, there was no game plan, didn't explain anything to me prior to any hearing, he sat there quiet the entire time and let me defend myself. When the process was "over", I had no holiday visitation laid out, a shotty vacation that orders me to have an actual vacation or I can't have my daughter for a week in the summer, and he didn't bother to finish his job by providing me with the paperwork that he was supposed to do. This was 2 years ago, and I had to retain a different set of lawyers 3 months ago to get everything wrapped up that he didn't bother to finish and to go for shared custody. My new attorneys, who know him, even told me how badly he screwed up my case. He never returned a single phone call, and at the end of the last hearing his advice to me was to get a night job and give my ex all of the money from that job. Great advice! That's what I paid $5500.00 bucks for! Stay away from this attorney unless you like throwing your money down the drain.
