We hired attorney Lisa Okoh-Brown a few months ago to handle a case. It was from a former tenant filing a frivolous lawsuit against us claiming that we denied her right to break the lease and that we owed her money. The fact of the matter is that she failed to give appropriate notice and the lease rolled over into another one year lease. We had a prior attorney who was not being aggressive enough with the case and the case was dragging on for over a year. Lisa came into the case guns-blazing, filed a motion for summary judgment the first day we hired her, and appeared three weeks later in court to argue the motion.
The day before court we got nervous and we wanted to accept an offer to settle the case just so we would not go through the headache of Court. Lisa was adamant that we should not because she thought we had a very strong case to prove liability. She even told us we did not have to show up in that she would handle everything because we were so anxious. We could not believe when she called us after court to give us the good news. She got a decision for us that the tenant was liable and did an excellent job against the really obnoxious attorney that was representing the tenant. even our former attorney that she replace after reading the pleading she filed with the court said that she did an excellent job. That is High Praise indeed!
Lisa has kept us updated on every step of the case. Any documents that she has filed she has sent to us immediately so we are aware would have been filed. Any document or communication she receives on the case she sent it to us immediately and informed us. We always know every step what is happening on the case. We have had many attorneys as we are business owners and I can honestly say Lisa has been the best, most thorough, professional, compassionate, and aggressive attorney that we have ever had. She fought for us like it was her very own case and I read some of the lower reviews on here and I can tell you that that was not the person that we hired. You will not go wrong with this attorney.
