Mr. Cahilly did minimum work required for my case. I had an overwhelming amount of evidence that I presented to him but was completely disregarded. After receiving my final payment of the $3500 paid, Mr. Cahilly began to be very relaxed with my case. Mr. Cahilly convinced me to have a Case Study done instead of going to trial so that he would have minimal work to do. I walked away with the Standard Order of Possession that basically allows me to see my daughter every other weekend and some holidays.
From all the evidence of abuse, lies and falsified information I had against the other parent, my daughter should have been placed in my custody.
Mr. Cahilly gave a great speech when I was considering hiring him. But as the case moved forward, he only went through the motions of filing court documents and filling out the pre-formatted Standard Order of Possession.
In many instances, I felt like he was working for the other parent as during mediation, she walked away with all of her request being met and I was advised to comply.
This had to be the easiest $3500 any one has ever made.
I know that most people/court systems automatically believe the mother to be the better parent but in a lot of cases, this is far from the truth.
...especially if the facts and evidence are presented that shows otherwise and taken seriously.

This is an excellent attorney, his fees are VERY reasonable. He helped me get my daughter back after her father ran off with her. I’m not surprised his office had to move from downtown to barely inside the loop. The irony. I got a lot of judgement from him without any time taken to actually read my decree or ask about the tangibly provable facts I have available to support my case.
He assumed I was another vindictive ex without even understanding what the situation was, and treated me like I was stressing too much emotionally over something he didn’t think was worth his time. My barely six-year-old daughter being completely cut off from me during her summer break after her dad meets my very serious significant other is not something to shrug off, Cahilly. Ironically, he couldn’t control his own emotions and hung up the phone on me because he didn’t practice the kind of cases he wrongly assessed I was seeking. Very professional. What profession? I couldn’t guess.

Never thought I would win primary custody of my son and thanks to Mr. Cahilly I did. After a year of going to court and fighting an appeal my case is finally over with and my son under my care. Don's not out to get your $ like most family attorneys, he truly wants to help and will be upfront with you even if its not what you want to hear. Truly a blessing and willing to work in any situation. Definitely recommend having a sit down if you're going through family court issues.
