I met him at the Houston Municipal Court defending people who were issued traffic violations. Michael was always on top of the law. If I was stuck with something, he was the person I went to. I think every time there was a question about the law, Michael knew it better than the prosecutors and even the Judges. I remember a case where there was a question as to the location of a traffic stop. Michael drew a diagram and pointed out how the officer made a mistake (very clear and concise). I made my motion to the Judge and the judge told me I was correct; but said the officers have written many tickets with the same mistake and if he was to dismiss this ticket, he would have to dismiss many more, so he did not grant my motion.
