Spencer Gilligan showed up to court the day after the Fourth of July and got my ticket dismissed. After all the people left who had their tickets dismissed because the police officers didn’t show, he came and found me and told me the police officer was avalaible for my case. He had to go speak to the district attorney and they had to get the police officer on the phone. He was there for another hour and a half after having the majority of his clients cases dismissed. And he did this all on his birthday! Mr. Gilligan didn’t send an associate there but handled this on his own. I can’t thank him enough. I would highly recommend him.

I got pulled over on Monday and WOW!!! starting Tuesday in seemed liked all the law firm's in Houston wanted my $50.00.

It was my first time getting ticket and hiring a law firm, I was extremely nervous. However I called Gaberial twice during my process and both the time's she was very polite and assured me that all is going to be fine and also helped me understand the process 1) that I have to show up on the date to the court 2) judge will call my name and then 3) my lawyer will show up and introduce himself and that's exactly how it happened.

My lawyer I don't remember his name I am guessing Mathew (but not sure) was very professional. He let me know to have patience and wait as my officer who pulled me over is here but he will try his best for me.

Around 10:00 am after 2 hours of wait, I saw that officer come to my court. My lawyer talked to him briefly and BAM!!!! my case got dismissed.

I am very happy as how my case was handled and will surely recommended this Law Firm to all my Friends, in fact on my way home is recommended this law firm to my Uber driver

They do not communicate!! Your emails go to spam and your told to pay the ticket. Never once have we gotten a call from the office. They were quick to send a letter to us before the ink was dry on the ticket though. DONT USE THEM!!

I can't say enough to express my appreciation for Spencer Gilligan and his team! I've had two tickets dismissed with them recently and the process was so smooth that I was literally at work by 9am the morning of my court date. Just this morning I went to court for a ticket that I got previous to the others. In this case, I had already entered my plea and set a court date with a judge trial. There wasn't much guarantee that they could help since I had waived my right to jury trial, so they didn't want to take the money and not come through for me. A truly honest way of doing business if you ask me!

Now for the best part....

This morning at court I went and spoke with Spencer just to see if I had any options. He said, that I wasn't on his docket, but he would check and see what he could do. 15mins later, he walked over and said "Jeffrey, your case is dismissed!" Wow! I was so impressed that such an already very busy person would take the time to help someone like that. He certainly didn't have to.

Gilligan is just absolutely the best. I had never had any type of incident with the law previously. I was issued a traffic violation. Something I wish I had known: you can't have your cell phone or any food or drinks. If you're stuck in court, bring a book or something, and don't bring in yummy coffee that you'll have to dump out.

Without a doubt the absolute worst experience. GLF palms out the cases to other attorneys not working for them. The attorney I was assigned had over 30 cases she explained NOTHING. After 3 hours of waiting she told me to sign for a jury trial with no discussion. I had defensive driving and defferred adjudication open to me but she did not even mention these options. I am just thankful that I was already aware and informed about the options in traffic court.

Went to court on the day GLF told me to be there. I was there 15 minutes before I heard my name called. The attorney informed me that my speeding > 90 mph and failure to use signal charges were both dismissed and that I should have a good day as I was free to leave, I love GLF and would recommend them to anyone.

What an awful experience. Someone from Gilligan showed up relatively early (maybe like 7:50) asked for me, and basically let me know they would be around. I didn't hear anything from them again until 11:20. A different guy came in, I watched him sit next to the officer who gave me the ticket and tell him he was helping out Spencer with a few clients. He then asked the officer about me and someone else who the officer had given tickets to and asked if he remembered us. The officer asked him what kind of car it was, and the lawyer said I don't know. Then he pulled me aside asked me how I got the ticket and said "well this officer isn't going to drop it, but I'm working on him, you can either do defensive driving or go to trial." I asked him if I could have five minutes to call my husband. As this conversation ends the police officer leaves. 2 minutes later my lawyer leaves. How can you "work on" the police officer when he has already left? I go back in and by this time I was one out of seven people left in the court. TWO people who showed up after roll call left before me, because their lawyers were actually there. Not only was it a waste of money for them to do literally nothing for me, but it was a huge waste of time because they didn't bother coming down to the court until 11:20. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

I used this BBB Accredited Law Firm for a speeding ticket. Attorney arrived on time and explained everything very detailed. Ticket dismissed and it will not be on my record. I would use this law firm again.

If i could give them zero stars I would. I received a postcard in the mail from them advertising for only $50 they would get my ticket dismissed. So I thought what the heck I'll give them a try. They took my 50 bucks and did not help me at all to get my speeding ticket dismissed. I showed up in court, waited, the court called my name, I went before the judge, I choose defensive driving, left court room and paid my court fee. That is exactly what happened the last time I was in court by myself. Having a "lawyer" this time meant nothing. My "lawyer" did not help me one bit. So basically I paid an addition $50 for my ticket.

Do not hire these people. What a joke. Dont explain consequences, what to do, or give adequate notices/ reminders. Waste of money & still had to pay my fine. Court told me straight up you dont need attorney for traffic violations. They dont do anything.

I seen all the good reviews and thought that this was a great lawyer to use. I was wrong I sat in that court room for about two and a half hours, after the attorney told me that the cop was there and immediately started to tell me my other options. She didn't even attempt to get it dismissed not to mention she was not even in the court room the majority of the time. I had one speeding ticket and it has been years since I had any other citations. I had to sit there and watch while everyone else got their tickets dismissed. And I end up having to pay. I'm sorry but I don't think she did a good job at all.

Called Gilligan Law Firm Houston office and spoke to Vanessa. Gilligan Law Firm took care of my legal needs without a hitch. Today, I received a letter in the mail from Spencer Gilligan stating that he successfully defended my case in my favor.
