I would like to post a this review to explain my experience having attorney Brett Podolsky defend me against a false accusation made by an ex-girlfriend. This resulted in felony charges for supposedly attacking and choking my GF at the time. According to the police she was beaten and choked until she thought she was going to die. They had statements and photos. I was innocent of these charges and at the time I was arrested, I was a cadet at the DPS Police Academy. I was arrested in Austin, Texas where I stayed in jail for weeks before I was extradited back to Houston where the case was filed. I worked very hard to get accepted to the DPS Academy and was devastated and humiliated when I was arrested in front of other cadets. My family and I met with several lawyers and decided on Mr. Podolsky as he seemed to be best able to fight the case for me. It was the best choice we ever made. It took almost a year with the DA trying to send me to prison and then probation and then they offered to reduce the case to a misdemeanor. Every time they came at us with an unacceptable offer, Brett had the evidence and documents and arguments to shoot it down. He believed in my innocence and never once did he try to pressure me to "plea out" or take a deal. I watched in court as things sometime got heated with the DAs but he never budged. Finally the DA agreed to dismiss the case. I was in court with family and we almost broke down in the middle of the courtroom.
