When my father passed away I had the daunting task to find a lawyer that could help me in the scary process of getting my dads will legalized through the courts (which was not done through lawyers, bad idea ) anyway she helped me get letters of testamentary showing I was the executor of the property my dad left me . Also Medicare sent me a letter that stated my fathers medical bills that were about $39,000 were now going to be due immediately and if not paid we’re going to be added Or tacked on top of my dads house and now I was going to be responsible to pay for all . Mind you when my dad was alive he was qualified to use Medicare . But the Govt does not tell you that when sick person dies they have the right to put a lien on house of persons who dies so if it is not paid then they could try to take house from beneficiary. So if house only had 20,000 left to pay now add $39,000 so now next person is stuck paying those medical bills unless sick person gave the house as gift to child then child is stuck with debt . My dad had kidney renal failure at 55 both kidneys stopped working . He was in Dyalisis 9 to 10 years and his last year had cataracts in his eyes making him blind . He needed up in nursing home for about 1 year and a half . So every lawyer I spoke to (which was a lot of them ) told me that as soon as they heard Medicare sent me a letter saying I owed them money , they told me “We Do not take cases with Medicare !” We Cannot fight the the government!! Mind you they did not know the whole case but as soon as they heard Medicare they all ran or told me to sell my dads house and take a loss ! I prayed to God to guide me and send me a very intelligent lawyer that could hear my case and help Me win this case . At the same it seemed hopeless !!! Well after weeks of searching I Beleive Angels lead me to Romero Lawfirm . They know the laws like no one else and after reading the law myself I knew I was except from receiving this debt but talking to Mrs Romero, she helped me feel more re sssured that she was confident We could win this case and get lien of $39,000 removed from my house . Well about 9 months later Mrs Romero was able to get the $39,000 removed and I feel like God sent me these wonderful lawyers who helped me win back what belonged to my dad. This was a very joyous day for me. Not only are both Mr and Mrs Romero the most knowledgeable, respectful, diligent, fast, responsive lawyers out here, but so is their wonderful assistant Stephanie.
