Total crooks. After making our first payment we asked for the itemized detail on exactly what we were paying, then were told they couldn't talk to us, found out half of our Bankruptcy payment was for them. Our paralegal was on a gag order from Malaise himself...even the judge thought our payment was too high, dropped these guys fast...oh and they have filed for Bankruptcy themselves

Make sure for your consultation you bring your paystubs AND your monthly budget which needs to be broken down into some very specific categories, such as clothing costs (including laundry detergent, fabric softener and dry cleaning), home care (including cost of dish washing soap, various types of cleaning stuff as well as electric bills, water and waste bills etc.) So be prepared to break down all of your spending. ALL OF IT.

The number one concern of this firm is to take your money. If you have questions or issues after your bankruptcy is filed, you will not receive any help from your representative. The attorney you meet with will not be the attorney that represents you before the trustee and will have limited knowledge of your case. Also depending on the attorney representing you, they can be quite rude. Our case manager was also incredibly rude. I hope others have a favorable experience with this firm, but mine was very unpleasant.

They took my money and never answered my question or phone calls. My attorney himself never took my calls he put it off to his paralegal who also did not return my call. When I reached out to Mr. Malaise I got some of my money back but never even so much as an apology and they kept a chunk of my money for fees. In my opinion the attorney and paralegal who ignored me should have had to reimburse those.

Never in my life did I think I would ever run across an honest lawyer. This man was sweet, caring, understanding, and super helpful. He had the chance to take my money but decided it wasn't the best option for me and gave me advice. I'm just in awe with this place. The staff was also very caring and sweet. If I ever need their services I know where I'm going. 5 stars is not enough for this place.

I called to inquire about services from this firm and spoke to a Keyshia Rodriguez. I wanted to let her boss know that she was VERY prompt in returning my call, spoke very professional, paid close attention to my questions was very knowledgeable to my needs. Don't go to these guys. They will take your money and not listen to your needs. I went in and told them I wanted to file a chapter 7 then a 13. I didn't want to file a 13 first and they talked me into it like that was my only choice. I did my homework and knew what I wanted to do but they already had my money. So I failed in the 13 because like I told them in the fist place I couldn't afford the plan payment.
This last time they dropped the ball on me was last week. They were supposed to fax over a consent for to my mortgage company. They didn't. And now it is costing me precious time, 3 to 4 weeks in negotiations with my mortgage company to work out a loan modification.
Go to Magdalena Gonzalez instead. I have used her before. She is a straight shooter and her small team can run tracks around Malaise's monster team. All your money just goes to their overhead. They are way overpriced and you pay for nothing.

Filing Bankruptcy can be scary, I was skeptical at first. The attorney that I met with Warner made me feel at ease. His legal assistant Anthony was very helpful through the beginning process. The law firm staff are so professional especially when I have questions whether it be calling or just walking in. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! They were only concerned about collecting my fees to them and then did a horrendous job shuffling my file from case worker to case worker. Everytime I called(once every 6 months to follow up) there was a new paper shuffler. They did not file my taxes with the trustee(even though I had them filed in February). Thankfully, when the trustee contacted me finally to report they were dropping my case due to not having a copy of my taxes(the attorney's responsiblity) I had maintained proof that I had turned those items in. KEEP EVERY DOCUMENT!
