Bad experienced with her paralegal assistant Ms.Caroline. I never got the chance to talk directly to Ms. Sheri about my concerns and questions. I'm still waiting for part of my refund and copies from a case I signed. Not sure if Ms. Sheri is aware of the situation but at this point we are very disappointed of their services.

How to begin this? I am in the middle of a very nasty divorce/custody situation when I first hired Sheri. Sheri Dye has been beating around the bush with my Aunt and Uncle for almost 2 years now. Nothing have accomplished. Every time the want to get a whole of her she's always out of town or in court. Today is one of the best days of my family and my lives!!! Sherri was hired for a CPS case, which involved my niece and possible adoption. Sherri has been a part of my family's lives since last July, and let me tell you... We put our faith in Mrs. Dye, and she came through, there couldnt have been a more perfect outcome! She did everything she had promised since the beginning of this case. She has always been attentive to our needs, answered many many phone calls, attended meetings to fit our family's crazy hectic schedule. She delivered more than an attorney. She fought so hard for our family to gain custody of my niece, also assisted and worked with another attorney to fight for non termination of rights for my sister. Her prices are very affordable, and I cannot Express the fact that she worked with us 100%. She stood out in the many court hearings, and trial. She said something and always delivered. She is persistent and very knowledgeable. She is kind, and so real. My family has worked with her for a year. She has also fought other legal matters and won!! She is everything you want in an attorney, and she will always be so memorable and a life long friend to our family. Sherri, because of you our family is complete!!

We are talking september/october time... And all that is needed, LITERALLY at this point is math. So, after waiting, and waiting, and waiting.... I did the math, and Ms. Dye submitted it to the other lawyer for agreement (under her own name) .. cool beans. we agree (mostly). We even had court set so that this could be finished.. But you know what? Ms. Dye cancels court. From here, do you think she would correct her mistake? Nope. Cant be bothered with stuff like that. So, after months of literally begging Ms. Dye to set court, I completely give up. I have nothing left in the tank. She obviously doesnt care. I ask for whatever order the other side will give. The calculations on the order are wrong, and some things are left unaddressed, but i just dont care. I have lost all hope that this case will ever get finished, because Ms. Dye refuses to work for her clients. She even promises to file a separate motion on the unaddressed parts in this order, so i can move forward, but here i am a month after finally getting ANY orders, think she has? (Hint: its the opposite of yes). So i sign these orders that are in no way in my best interest, because Ms. Dye refuses to do anything i ask.. Now all i am waiting on is the other party and a judge to sign it.. After the first week passed, you would think maybe she would call and figure out what was up.. Why cant the other party sign? Also NOPE. After several more weeks, i again am reduced to literally begging Ms. Dye to set a court date so a judge can sign and the orders can go into effect.. That is not going to happen..... By the grace of god alone, the other side finally signs the paperwork, and the judge gets it all, and also signs. I have my orders.
Look, if you have no other option but to use Ms. Dye, find another option. This review can only hold so much, but it barely scratches the surface of how disappointed i was.. How hopeless you will feel... How little she cares... I cant even say she put in the minimum work required, as that would be an overstatement of fact. I had to reach out in so many ways (often inappropriately), to get ANY movement on my case. She wont contact other lawyers outside of court appearances, which could save SO much time. Even just making an appointment with opposing counsel over the phone to discuss where documents are, or if agreements can be reached. She wont do it. You will be so far beyond frustrated, and lost, and hopeless, and defenseless, and beaten down, all by your own lawyer.
Please, do better than i did. Choose any other lawyer in San Antonio.. Choose any other lawyer in the United States... You will regret hiring her. I do.
Edit: There is only one time i can remember her actually caring during my whole ordeal: I threatened to find a new lawyer early in my case. THAT concern was real... She will say anything to keep you. She will give you her personal number.. And then wait days or weeks to respond to you. I get you might not have an answer to a concern immediately, but SAY that. Dont leave your client on read. And then, I dont know... Maybe actually get an answer and follow up in a timely manner? She complains (to your client) that other clients are hounding her through text message... Looking back: 1. I completely understand why. Court cases are kind of important to people... And they like to know whats going on. 2. That should have been a HUGE red flag to me, that Ms. Dye would complain about her other clients trying to contact her to me. Im sure she complained about me to others as well.. I dont care. Hands down, Ms. Dye has the worst communication with clients i have ever been a part of. It is only great when she either wants you to agree to work with her, or when she wants you to stay on as a client after treatment has gotten so horrible you threaten to find a new lawyer.

This is going to be long... So, lets start with the TL;DR...
TL:DR - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Without violating any privileges, you need to know what you are getting in to. My case was probably similar to 1000 others in bexar county, but what this breaks down to is broken promises, lies, miscommunications, indifference, and a world of hurt. To begin, i verified before hand that Ms. Dye would definitely feel comfortable going before a judge, as i have experience with a couple of lawyers in San Antonio, and none want to actually go before a judge for a judgement. Of course, i was told exactly what i wanted to hear: "I have no problem with that. I dont charge extra for that. We can make sure we fight for you". First date in court to address a pretty huge concern, Ms. Dye refuses to go in before the judge, opting instead to spend several hours of my time wearing me down to the point where i will accept a deal. This was repeated time and time again. Of the many "court appearances" in my case, never once did i see an actual judge. But we are getting ahead a bit here. The other side changed counsel, and new counsel requested an amicus, after i had already complied with previous stipulations. I completely disagreed with these new stipulations for several hours, until again worn down. We dont stop for lunch, we dont take breaks, we go until Ms. Dye has you worn down to accept what her and another lawyer collaborate on. So, the amicus is in play now, because she literally will not listen to my dissent.. Amicus makes recommendations, and Ms. Dye refuses to get into contact with the amicus for months. I had to physically go to amicus' office to find out what in the world was going on because Ms. Dye kept telling me the amicus' office was dodging sending the paperwork. Come to find out, they had submitted ALL the paperwork they were suppose to months ago when they were suppose to... My blood is boiling. Literally, the whole trajectory of the case is riding on the amicus' decision, and Ms. Dye is ignoring it, or at least not doing anything with it. So i call Ms. Dye from the amicus office and have it corrected on the spot. She tells me the amicus is wrong and they must be confused. (I know good and well they arent, but i just want my case finished). Then comes trying to set the case for a hearing, preferably a final hearing... This is in May. The hearing should have been set for a day within May, and nothing is set until the end of Summer. From here, i am directed to use arbitration vs going to court. I present fair terms, and again Ms. Dye is not interested in fighting for me. I cant count the number of times i said "no, this is wrong. Stop. this isnt fair" only to be told "well, a judge would say this anyway, so you might as well sign it". We were suppose to have a court appearance scheduled for the following day, because i knew this was going to go sideways.. If a judge will do this anyway, why cant we take an hour tomorrow and have a judge ORDER this? Why am i sitting here for an hour past our agreed time with you berating me into signing paperwork? And even then, I actually left and you were STILL there, and you had to sign the paperwork for me because i had to leave and we had not yet come to an agreement....... But whatever. We can be done now. I have lost so much hope by this point in dealing with Ms. Dye, i literally dont care any more. so here we are, end of Summer, with an order to move forward on... But we still have documents needed from the arbitration.. Think these are on her mind? Nope. Over a month passed before she finally got the required documents from the other side, and then, only after we had been back to court on what probably should have been a date for final orders. But again, whatever, at least now we have what we need to actually get calculations done so final orders can be drafted. Easy! Ms. Dye has to do math. Other lawyer needs to do math. Math needs to be agreed on. Ms. Dye cancels court. (story is longer, but hit character limit..) Go ANYWHERE else. Please. For yourself.

Ms. Dye has been wonderful. She has aided us with legal concerns on several occasions and has proven to be extremely professional and timely. I cannot thank her enough for her services.
