Dennis Horton was suspended by the Florida bar for financially exploiting and abusing his elderly clients. Horton's son has now taken over the small law firm. My grandfather was a client of Horton's and was financially exploited and abused after a stroke left him cognitively impaired. If you are elderly and looking for a reputable estate attorney or law firm, please beware of Horton's office.

Friendly and helpful estate support. The elder Horton is not taking new clients. The younger one is now taking the new clients and is very amiable and knowledgeable.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I'm going out of my way for this one. I had Horton's office handle a Summery Administration for my Uncles estate in Groveland. Communication was a ZERO from Dennis and his staff as soon as my advance payment was cashed. No one answers emails or follows up on phone messages. I was originally also going to let him handle the settlement for the sale of my Uncle's home, but that was soon aborted after I realized how they operate. They lost serious revenue for being so incompetent. And now weeks later I'm still waiting for the refund from an escrow account they had me establish. Two emails about that and counting. No a hint of an apology for awful service from Dennis.
