Promised my wife and I a pretty sure win, as he said, "without a doubt an easy case and win". Paid $2,000 after convincing us of a case he had won almost exactly to ours. I had my doubts but Merritt told me I was wrong. So after a couple months, we found out that we wasted $2,000 and he asked that we refile another way for another $2,000 and that we'd maybe win this new route. A waste of time, a waste of money that we didn't have, and made our situation much worse. I highly recommend finding a different lawyer unless throwing money down the drain with no resolve is your thing. Definetly not voting for as a judge!

The guy Charged me for the entire time he spent at court plus travel time and come to find out he had 3 other cases on the docket that day. His 2 hrs travel time made him about $2800.00. I promise you the other 3 sad souls paid too.... Then this crook wanted like 2k to go to a second litigation on this case.I litigated the case myself, WON the case and I was in the Courtroom for under 1 hour!!!!! Showed my lawyer buddy who recommended him to me the paid bill to Merritt and he shook his head and APOLOGIZED for ever recommending him to me. and stated "I will NEVER do that again. I'm still so mad it's unbelievable. I may add, ALL this happened AFTER I paid his firm 10-12 grand!
