Most private attorneys you hired are willing to put in 50 to 100% of their time into your case since it has to be split up with other people. Joe Montrone is the type of lawyer that really surprised me. He went above and beyond to make a bad situation into a good one. When I saw no light at the end of the tunnel and dreaded what was to come; Joe tried everything possible and made a near impossible situation into a situation anyone would consider lucky. We want to extend a Hugh thank you to Joe for all the work he did for us on my husbands case. During the initial consultation, he eased our minds and we new right away we were in good hands. He was through throughout the whole case, explaining all the possible outcomes so there was never any surprises. He was always available for question and answered emails promptly. If you are as confused, scared and in shock as I was after my DUI, take a deep breath, relax, forget the shiny gold boxes and professional looking portfolios left at your front door and call Joe. Best thing I ever did! From the first visit he made feel like someone was on my side, and he was. Oh, don’t get me wrong he didn’t sugar coat the position I was in or the work I would have to do, but he started laying out a path to get me back on my feet. I was impressed, as an ex-prosecutor he knew the system, how long it would take, the potential penalties, what common mistakes to look for and more importantly how to use the calendar to my benefit. The first thing Joe did was provided me with the information I needed to get back on the road with a hardship license. To do this, I had to be qualified and apply for DUI school (he’ll walk you through it). He also recommended that I go ahead and get my victim impact requirements done (you'll need that later and it's easy to forget). Starting this process from day one and doing the work to get it done made a HUGH difference in what I faced when I got my "day in court". Secondly, using his expertise in civil procedure and the rules of due process, Joe put me in a position to get all the States evidence and information so we could choose the best course. Once determined, he again used the rules of the court and the calendar to my advantage giving me time to get all the requirements and conditions of probation completed. Why do that? So, I could walk in, make my plea, pay my fees and fines and get early termination of probation on the same day, that's why. You want as little probation as you can get. After court, he guided me through the process of getting my after-plea hardship license (a little tricky he can explain), court ordered car impoundment and how to get an IID on your car if ordered. Thanks Joe. I'm smiling now. It was such a relief to KNOW what to expect and what the outcome was before I ever stepped foot inside the court room.

This guy is not very nice, he’s actually rude. And uses hand gestures that make you feel belittled, and is not prepared when it comes to his clients.

Doesn’t seem to have answers to questions, example, when you ask why or how did that happen he will say “what does it matter, it happens” well I’d like to know what caused it to happen so that I have knowledge for the future.

Where to start, where to start. Mr. Montrone is worth his weight in GOLD.
My daughter had resided in Florida for a short time a few years prior. She moved home not knowing she had any charges pending until the local police had pulled her over. Straight to jail she went with orders to extradite her back. (They are in no hurry to do that. You can literally sit in jail for 30 days waiting to be transported and NO bail bonds person in Ky. I contacted Mr. Montrone who took control and guided us through a living nightmare. Not that I don't thoroughly enjoy visiting Florida, the idea of traveling back and forth for court appearances etc was not anything we were mentally or finacialy prepared for and thanks to Mr. Montrone not only did we NOT have to leave our state, he had it dropped to a misdemeanor and settled within 6 weeks. I sought out Mr. Montrone during a difficult and anxiety ridden time. I was sure I was going to have a heart attack and require hospitalization. Well I need not have worried. During my first conversation with him, on a Saturday within a short period of time after I had left a message. He allayed many of my fears and reassured me that he would do all he could to clear up the mess I had gotten myself into. I am happy to say he kept his word. In less than a month it was all cleared up.
