Board Certified Trial lawyer is a must !!!
I had the unfortunate reason to hire a lawyer for a case in Florida. After some research and high praise from other lawyers I selected Thomas Bates based on his Board Certified Trial experience. He also had over 25 years in the business and was well know by the law enforcement community. My case was a 3 year ordeal for which was long and difficult. Mr Bates communicated well with updates and emails. We had a dozen depositions, video review and finally a full jury trial. He brought my case to the jury and was highly professional and used the evidence and law to communicate to the jury my case. The final verdict was in my favor with also compensation. I could not be more happy with the out come and professional manner for which Mr Bates presented himself and my case. It was a true please to work with him and I would recommend him to anyone in need of a lawyer.

BEWARE: THIS MAN IS PATHETICALLY USELESS AND THIS EXPERIENCE WAS PAINFUL WASTE OF HARD EARNED DOLLARS: Sadly Mr. Bates office was contacted to reschedule a missed court date that was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma when he initially stated, “if you want a Tiger fighting on your behalf then I am your Guy,” which would be extremely laughable if he hadn’t tried reaching in my pockets. Having to witness his pathetic attempt was embarrassing for anyone to witness. Mr. Bates not only got whooped by the Scamming, Lying Defendant but the Small Claims Judge beat him down like a buffoon. Wasted thousands chasing $3,000 in a past due invoice and therefore have no idea what Dr. Findlay is writing about? Must be convenient to have a friend write a review in exchange for referrals?
Painfully have to admit there is more: Prior to that hearing we briefly discussed another dated collections case that was ready to proceed to trial only to have him state that he is not experienced in this type of “Lien Law” Collections/Foreclosure on a Contractors Lien and I should seek a Board Certified Trial Lawyer to bring the case to trial but didn’t stop him from attempting to charge $2,500 on my credit card?
Here’s the skinny, Bates “The Tiger” who apparently went into hibernation for the winter admitted his incompetency of the law, refused to render the service but then thinks that he is going to bill $2,500 on someone’s credit card without their authorization. What kind of ethical human, let alone a lawyer barred and bound by ethics in the State of Florida would screw over the small business man trying to collect on a bad debt from someone who screwed him over on past due service in the first place? His actions are Disgraceful and The Florida Bar Association is next.
Mr. Bates is an excellent attorney. I am a doctor and have sent patients to Mr. Bates for representation. He is a trial attorney with many years of experience. His expertise is without comparison. Most of all he is a man of integrity. I have no reservations referring patients to Mr. Bates. I know that they will be treated with the utmost respect and concern. By the way Mr. Bates is a tremendous resource for me when I have a question. If he doesn't handle something, he sends me in the right direction.
