Extremely rude customer service. Their receptionist delibrately hung up on me. Highly unprofessional.

Never call these people if you speak Spanish, I called the lady and when I asked her do you Speak Spanish she yelled at me and treated me like trash. SUCH a funny thing, a discrimination law firm that treats customers like that !

3 Stars because as soon as soon I sent my inquiry, Amy called me immediately. but not 5 stars because the Asian lady who answers the phone is rude and doesn't care to listen. Not professional at all.

I paid $500 for a 1 hour consultation which consisted of nothing more than I had learned from a google search the night before. The lawyer was ill prepared with the reasoning power of a goose. Stay away. These people are awful.

I don't often post reviews but felt compelled to share my experiences with this practice. After reading many excellent reviews on Karen Amlong and this practice, l felt assured l'd found the best lawyer to represent my interests in a gender discrimination law suit against my former employer. Much to my dismay what l experienced revealed a practice besieged with delays, lack of responsiveness, poor coordination, lack of urgency and staff prepared with excuses. I further learned Karen Amlong's initial consultation fee is $750 for a 60-90 minute review of your case. This fee is approximately double what other attorneys in her field with similar experience and credentials charge. If after paying $750, Ms Amlong accepts your case, you’re expected to pay an additional $5000 retainer and another $1000 for postage and filing fees. Ms Amlong does not accept cases on contingency and only considers a partial contingency after she's exhausted your initial payment of $5000. While the fees were not prohibitive, the disorganization, lack of follow up and missed appointments are unacceptable. I am a senior level executive who was highly compensated. I need an organized professional legal team and this practice clearly doesn't meet that expectation. Lastly, the feedback l received from other attorneys in this field is that this practice accepts the cases they consider low hanging fruit and makes a significant income off consultation fees. Whether this firm choses to accept your case or not, or whether they win or lose your case, they will be handsomely compensated.

Phone calls are not returned. After two weeks of waiting for a response, I decided to follow up AGAIN. I called at 10:30 on Friday and my call was answered by a recording indicating that if I wanted to speak with the answering service, I should press 1. I did so and received another message saying 'no one is available to take your call right now'.

Very knowledgeable and worth your time. My case was on the easier side, but definitely would refer anyone to Karen or the firm in general.

Ms. Amlong represented me as a 16b officer in a public company in a labor and harassment suit against my former employer. We were up against a giant with a powerful NY law firm across the table. Her experience and expertise allowed her overlook their intimidation and shame tactics and as a result, she was able to keep me calm and focussed on what was important versus reacting emotionally to their nonsense. While the matter was resolved under confidential terms, I was extremely pleased with Karen's strategy and results from same. I would highly recommend her.

Amlong and Amlong, careful with this group of attorneys they take your money and start giving you excuses to justify how to eat your money without doing anything on the case. A year later they will just keep asking you for money because the trust fund is empty. STAY AWAY!
