As if I needed more headaches. I just received another delinquent payment alert over 5 months after he was paid. I won't bother calling this time. Paid in December, Delinquent notice in June. Thanks!

Mr. Schwitalla was highly recommended to me by another lawyer, and I went with it. We had a 20 minute phone call with absolutely zero personality or compassion. It was all yes or no question, being cut off on every response, and then telling me his staff would send me what they needed. I would think that a lawyer who has been doing this for as long as him would be better at appreciating his customers and the hardships of bankruptcy. I did not meet him until my second visit to his office, weeks after I had paid the balance in full. When he walked in and said hello to me, I asked, "Are you my lawyer?", and he said, "Not yet", despite the fact that at that point we had a financial agreement between us, and he simply hadn't taken the time to look at the schedule of who was coming in. I understand that bankruptcy is not the height of someone's life, but I lost my business, my credit, everything basically. I was told the wrong amount of what my monthly payment was going to be for Chapter 13. I was given two different websites where I was supposed to make payments. I was told what time to be at the courthouse to speak with my lawyer for the first time since our only phone conversation, and he was late. I found out that one of my credit cards did not get the memo on my bankruptcy and has been reporting delinquent payments. I brought this to their attention, and I was told to figure it out with the credit bureaus. I'm so organized, I filed as soon as I realized my business was done, and I made this so easy for them with organization, but I think completing someone's bankruptcy includes fixing mix-ups where one credit card company is reporting delinquent payments, which I had no idea until yesterday. I found his attitude to be snide and arrogant, in direct opposition to how he was described to me by the lawyers who recommended him. Now, my bankruptcy has been completed., and there appears to be very little interest now that they have their money, and I am through the court portion. His once amazingly nice staff has no willingness to assist. I drove 50 miles each way 4 times because he was so highly recommended. Save your fuel. They got the bankruptcy done, but the experience with their office during this process for someone losing their business was horrible, and continues to be so. I honestly feel like my lawyer interacted with me like I was gum stuck to the bottom of his shoe. That could be because losing a business was new to me, but I think a person should feel like their lawyer gives a damn.
THE BEST!!!
