I just read Carmen LLeris review on Cooke Carbonell and was truly shocked. I am one of the "Buffet" lawyers and am the Cooke of Cooke Carbonell. It saddens me to read something that is a complete fabrication of an outcome. For those who do not understand litigation, there comes a point in every case when the client chooses to settlement over continued litigation. Once this happens, sometimes after time, when the pressure is off, they want to reconsider their condition. This is sometimes referred to as sour grapes.
I have reviewed this case, the transcripts and all client communications and can attest that Mr. Carbonell performed his duty as an attorney to the fullest of his ability. I can also confirm that in reviewing our practice management system to include the notes contained therein, this case was in keeping with our highest of standards concerning client contact. In retrospect, the firm took a case, did our best to reach the goals of a client who accepted settlement, and now after the fact is not happy.

We attempted to hire about five different lawyers before we found them. Our case was not an easy one and it had already been closed, which is one of the reasons why the previous lawyers did not want to jump in to help us. Find any other attorney! They are not honest, charged $380 per hour and did absolutely nothing for us. He told us a total, and after it was paid, sent another invoice for an additional $3200! They are crooks- STAY AWAY!
