I must say Scott Hamilton is amazing. Scott and Nancy were very helpful in walking me through each step necessary to answer my questions and put me at ease while going through my filing and finalization process. I recommend utilizing his services.

Scott Hamilton is an amazing, knowledgeable, and patient lawyer. He took the time to listen to all my concerns and answered all my questions. Helped me find solutions to my bankruptcy issues and made sure that I was confident in him and all the steps that go along with a bankruptcy. And then I took the steps to get it done! It felt kind of like I was the one doing all the work. We were given a 50 plus 2-sided booklet that had to be completed in its entirety before anything could move forward. Maybe I was always given a false sense of the work that’s done when you hire a lawyer for a bankruptcy. I know that it’s my job to put together all my bills outstanding, current, my assets, my whole life on paper, but this was crazy. It took me nearly four or five months to put it all together. We had already paid the $2500 and wanted to be done with this madness. We were then told we would go in front of the trusty until December but maybe January. We were so bummed, so then here’s comes the sales pitch, “ well you could pay an additional $500 and we will stop working on cases in front of you and get yours done first!” We were going bankrupt because we were so far in debt every time we had a job, our wages were garnished and there’s no way to live off the money they leave you. So we begged and borrows another $500. We did see the trustee in November, but while we were in front of her, Scott said not one single word when she decided that she would lay claim to the minuscule inheritance that had been left to my husband, while his brother made off with millions. She, the trustee was even appalled by this, but still she had no regrets in taking every single cent. It was like a nightmare we couldn’t wake up from. Scott simply told us, your brother can refuse to give it to her. What a joke. So after that whenever we got paperwork in the mail about the finalization of the bankruptcy, I would email Scott and Nancy and the replies became less and less frequent until finally I guess they felt as though the had met their quota of help and answers to questions and they were no longer willing to explain anything. So, I’ve walked away with the lesson, if you know about bankruptcy you should be fine with who ever you choose. But if you are like we were and Clueless, then research, make sure you find someone who is willing to go the distance with you. We were left high and dry and have less understanding about the final paperwork than ever!
