My ex and I used Melanie for mediation. We had two sessions. One 3 hours and one for 1 hour. Not only did Melanie clearly side with my ex, when he left the room she talked down to me and told me how I was going to lose and not like the outcome if we went in front of the judge. She also teamed up with my ex and made me change everything I wanted and he got most of what he wanted. It was rediculous. Not only that but when we finally had agreed she told us she would have it typed and ready the next day (a Friday) or Monday at the latest. She never called Friday, or Monday. A week later and I call to see what’s happening and her assistant tells the receptionist to tell me they’re working on it, I leave a message anyways with my call back number and no call back. Next week goes by and still nothing. I call again and leave a message, no call back. Finally I call on a Friday 2 and a half weeks after the appt and they say they’ll have it Monday(today). I finally received a call back saying the papers were ready to be reviewed and signed. ALMOST THREE WEEKS LATER. After we had to pay for the hour it would take her to type it all up because she told us it would be ready the next day NOT three whole weeks later. Super unprofessional. Spend your money elsewhere.

Melanie and Judy have been amazing with communication its been a little more challenging since I’m out of state. They both know there stuff! I’ve never been through this before and every question I’ve had they’ve been great at explaining everything and they always get back to me very fast. Melanie is very factual and kills it in the courtroom. Thank you both so much! I defiantly recommend them!!!

I should start with thanking God for leading me and my family to the miraculous result when Susan Weeks represented us. Went through a previous attorney and my husband and I represented ourselves then others turned on us, we were spiraling down quickly. Melanie is probably the best trial lawyer in Coeur d'Alene ! If you want a bulldog who will fight for you and your interests and not shy away from a challenge, higher Melanie from James Vernon and Weeks.

I called 3 times and got a "we don't have time for you" response. Government found me permanently disabled, maybe your office should actually meet with people before you make a judgement in 5 minutes.

Daniel Keyes was my lawyer for my uncle's estate. I lived in Wisconsin, while my uncle was in Idaho. Daniel took care of everything, the process went very smoothly. He was professional, yet very easy to talk with. He answered my questions promptly, and was always right on top of things. I would highly recommend Daniel going forward. He was great!!

Don’t ever go to Melanie Baillie. She is the WORST lawyer. I went to her because of my divorce from my ex husband. She more than reassured me that this was a easy case because of all the evidence that I had brought to her. We went to court my ex husband’s lawyer was a parana she was like a mouse quivering in her chair not once through the nine months of going to court did she stand up for me when the other attorney was slandering my character slandering what evidence that I had. I did all the legal findings gave more than enough evidence to win this case. Melanie sat in her chair and did not represent me. The Judge had to CORRECT MELANIE ON THE CASE. Melanie didn’t even know what case she was Representing!!!!! She contacted me one time during that nine months to ask if I was going to be at court. I never knew if Melanie was going to show up for court or not. She would not have all of her stuff with her she would have to excuse yourself and go down to her car and get all of her stuff, was late to court. Then the final straw was that she without my consent preceded on a legal matter and charged me for it. Melanie is the absolute WORST lawyer that you could have.

These people are in it fir themselves. they have no interest in working for you or helpng you understand your case or the law.

Melanie is not only a good attorney, she's an attorney who really cares. I knew she cared about what I was going through and this along with her professional experience made my difficult situation the best it could be. I would highly recommend James, Vernon & Weeks to my friends and family. The office staff are friendly and they follow through on their commitments. More specifically, I would reccomend Melanie Baillie. I had Melanie represent me in an auto accident that totaled my car and left me with chronic back and neck pain. I was usually able to reach Melanie quite quickly but if she was not available I got a prompt response once she was. She was through and concise and didn't hesitate re explaining things when I often times got overwhelmed or confused. I put my case in her hands and allowed her to call the shots, trusting she would do what was in my best interest. When things started to go awry and we were being strung along by the insurance company, she didn't waiver. As expected, we prevailed. She fought for me, and was honest with me about the possible outcome and risks. People say its hard to find an honest attorney, well, look no further.
In the unfortunate case I need legal representation again, there is no doubt I will be calling Melanie at JVW.

When we couldn't find an attorney, Melanie took our case, worked extremely hard to find all the facts, pursued knowledgeable sources, and kept in pursuit of justice. Through negotiations, which lasted for 10 hours, she stood her ground along with Lee James, and we finally settled compensation. She held us up during crises. She gave great advice. My wife got Monica Brennan to handle a custody case for us and she did a horrible job. We can never get in touch with her and we have seen one bill in almost 2 years. We keep calling so we can have a sit down to discuss our bill but she never calls us back. We informed her we will not give her any money until she talks with us. Very dissapointing and a complete waste of money we highly recommend do not hire Monica Brennan for anything she is nothing but a common crook full of broken promises.

Attorney Craig Vernon contacted me about a company he was representing. I called multiple times, and when I finally got ahold of him he was very rude, and unprofessional. He hung up on me. In my opinion the letter he sent us was unprofessional at best. I've never heard of an attorney hanging up on someone mid sentence and literally talking over them. I sincerely hope that you do your research before retaining any attorney, as previous, unrelated reviews seem to reflect accurately to the level of professionalism we experienced. An attorney represents you, do you really want someone who is going to hang up on someone trying to resolve the situation at hand? I surely don't.

Went here to have mediation with Melanie Baillie. She did a terrible job, between messing up our decree and us having to come back MULTIPLE times to get it fixed.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
