Mr. Dudley is a shark plain and simple. I appreciate his honesty and straight-forwardness. He doesn’t beat around the bush or play around with petty details that don’t matter. If you want a tough attorney on your side, definitely give him a call.

I have never met him personal but would have loved to. I called to get a consult with him. Had to leave a message and when I got a call back. That was that story. I have never went down this road with contacting a lawyer so I didnt know what to expect but i did do alot of work to get this far. Anyways, the lady I'm thinking was his secretary. She started off asking me questions about when was my last court dates etc... I was trying my best to answer the questions without having my stuff in front of me due to her calling me while I was at work so I didnt have the stuff with me. She started getting rude telling me everything I was telling her was irrelevant and wont work for her even though she interrupted me everytime i was talking. Then proceeded to tell me it would just be better off if I just do it by myself and hung up. When the call was done I had even more questions then I started with and was even more lost then I was before the call. I wanted to hire them no matter was. I told her that told her It was going to be a fight so I need to get someone. She didnt seem to care and said it would be better and even cheaper if I did it myself cause I just file and I would have it. So because of that lady matthew dudley just last a client that was willing to pay how ever much it was going to be to get it do to what I needed!!!

He might come off stubborn, but that's what makes him so good when it comes to family cases. Highly Recommend.

Best lawyer ever

Matthew dudleyis a real attorney, he won't allow you to be deluded, he will not allow you to be stupid and emotional, he will keep.things moving in a professional manner. the only reason people have a bad time with him is because they won't shut up and listen. He is a professional and a very intelligent person. I have only one small bit of advice when hiring him #1 shut up and listen and follow his advice#2 if he is rude and short the only reason is because people hang themselves and it irritates him as it should. Remember in a divorce or a family law situation you are your own worst enemy. " Shut up, follow the instructions" I can say he is the best in Spokane Washington and I owe him the best years of my life.

Matthew Dudley is the best in Spokane. Hands down you will not hire a better attorney than him. If you want to win let him take your case to trial. He will crush your opponent like a bug under his shoe. This guy is no joke, he is intense, professional, and extremely intelligent. You will not hire a better attorney in this city.

I am guessing that everyone who has given a negative review was on the opposite side of the court room from Matthew. He is the only person I would ever want on my side in a court room. He is amazing at what he does and the best in town. I definitely wouldn't want to be on the other side because he is ruthless and definitely gets results. I refer everyone I know with family cases to him. I wish there was a way to give him more than 5 stars.

Very unprofessional. Lies to you and just wanna take your money

When my first attorney failed to make any progress in my more than challenging divorce, I hired Matthew Dudley, whom was recommended by three people. I WISH I HAD GONE WITH HIM THE FIRST TIME. When the other parties attorney went back on her word when we tried to settle out of court, and failed to hold her client accountable, he fought to make it right. I just wanted out, I didn't care about the "stuff." Dudley ensured that he has no right to keep everything, and fought for me.

Mr. Dudley is the most unprofessional attorney I have ever come across. Yelling case information across the hall way of the court house, intimidating the opposing party by whispering obscenities to them, not checking credibility of his clients claims. Then acting like an angel in front of the judge, of course. I highly suggest hiring a different attorney if you wish to appear professional.

Matthew is very unprofessional. He will take a case even though he's too busy to bother to know the details. He won't reply to your emails or texts for days. He didn't tell me when my court date was until I persisted and he 'thought' he had told me. He calls me 5 minutes before trial while I was at work for 'last minute details' - I still had not known the time of the trial. He'll hang up on you several times during your encounter with him. He lost my case which should have been easy to defend. He is just a very rude person and I usually have a lot of tolerance. I have now heard this from many people similar experiences.

I hired Matthew a few years ago for my divorce and it was the best decision that I made! He fought hard for me though my 18 month divorce & he’s always been there whenever I’ve needed him since. He is also not a lawyer after your money. Some reviews bash his personality, he is blunt. If you can’t handle that, you’re only doing yourself a disservice. I cannot recommend him enough!

Terrible bedside manner, very insensitive, arrogant, and rude. When I called to make a consultation appointment, I attempted to provide all of the important facts of my case over the phone to Dudley's partner, Lea Conner. After refusing to hear all of the facts, the female lawyer informed me that: 1) The professional advice that had previously been given to me by a credible lawyer and a licensed therapist was bad advice. 2) That they weren't going to argue with me 3) That they wouldn't take my case 4) to do myself a favor and to not call their office again.

No offense, but what kind of lawyer thinks that: 1) they know better than ALL other professionals 2) refuses to debate or 3) refuses to collect all of the facts of a case? Not a good, professional, or ethical one.

I’ve used Matthew Dudley for my family law cases every time I need an attorney. I had my sister use Matthew Dudley as well. Matthew definitely knows his way around the court room!! He tells it like it is & doesn’t have room for opinions. He’s a no-bull-shi* kinda guy,
& a damn good attorney.

I'm filing a bar complaint against Mr. Dudley, because I paid for a service upfront that was never rendered. He is very rude on the phone and will call you names if he becomes frustrated. His communication skills and emotional intelligence are that of some bully kid on the playground! When I asked him for a receipt of services (so I could hire a different Attorney who would treat me with respect), he refused to give my money back and terminated me as a client! His office is a mess, as is his professionalism. I encourage others who have also had bad experiences with Matthew Dudley to report him to the bar association, and write a review, so others don't make the same mistake in hiring him as a lawyer.

*Deep breath* Mathew is a different sort of person. If you've ever watched the TV show "House", Mathew is the attorney version of Dr. Gregory House (on his snarkiest days). He has no team of assistance to abuse so you (the client) might get addressed in a way you're unaccustomed to. He's a family law savant with side of Tourette's (fair warning). The first happiest day for me was the day I was free from malicious prosecution and lies, the second was the day my case settled, and the third was they day I paid in full for Mr. Dudley to get me there.

Mr. DUDLEY IS THE BEST ATTORNEY He's professional, tuff,smart and doesn't bs you to get more money! Hes also vary nice once you get to know him. He wants facts and that's all there is to it! I thank God a friend recomendr him to me. He represented me through my divorce and It couldn't of want better! Hes also fair. And doesn't try to play games or manipulate the other person.

Matthew picked up my case about 3/4 of the way through and did a great job! I recommend him to everyone I like :) if I don't like someone, I'd recommend Kelly Malone... haha. She was the opposing attorney and she was terrible! Lucky for me! But I recommend Matthew Dudley all the time. Not the nice compassionate type but if you're looking for honesty, no games and straight forward get to the point, definitely hire him!
