I have used this organization in the past when I was incredibly broke and needed help. They were very helpful. They help a lot of people in need of services, however they lack financial stability.

Incompetent, rude, insensitive, etc. Take away their federal funding immediately.

If trying to reach CLEAR via telephone, don't bother. As of today - March 15, 2018 - they don't answer their phone. They're only open 9:15 - 12:15. When you call, there's a lengthy & detailed message to press numbers for 2-3 different types of help. None fit for my situation (I need a lawyer for an SSI hearing I have coming up), so I stayed on the line as requested. Instead of anyone answering , or a lengthy waiting period, a message told me that their call volumes were too high & I should try again later. Then it hangs up. I've been trying for two weeks to reach them; calling at different times to see if I can catch someone. Nothing. I'm going to see if I can try to get to someone through other means.

Their motto is "Justice for all Low Income People". It really should be "justice for all low income people with a computer, internet access, and connected phone". Good luck trying to get help when they make reaching them so difficult. Thdy dont even have an option to at least email someone to set up a meeting over the phone. I really do agree with other reviews, this organization is really just a front to waste federal money and employ people rather than perform any meaningful work.

They were able to do a will for me at no charge, because I'm low income. They were very helpful.

The northwest justice project is the incompetent sort of "service" group that appears setup to provide a lot of window dressing, but which doesn't actually provide much real legal help to people.

This sort of group is focused on getting a federal grant, but they don't really use the grant money to provide legal services. Most of the money appears used to setup a phone bank for "screening" calls from people. Very few of the people who call or get screened ever get any actual legal help, or ever actually even communicate with an attorney, let alone get representation.

The people who do the screening at northwest justice project are rude, impatient, and disrespectful. As other reviewers have noted, one of their people hung up on me too. Another reviewer here indicates that their staff hangs up on other people too.

This sort of group sucks taxpayer dollars out of our federal government but doesn't deserve the federal grant money it has convinced our government to spent on it.

NW Justice Project was the worst resource recommended to me. I was hung up on by the Tacoma office when I asked how to file a complaint against the NW Justice Project.

Very dysfunctional organization and is in bed with the corrupt state system. They couldn't give me any proper advise on how to handle the case. I have 4 elderly relatives who constantly have issues with their care handled though the state's Aging and Disability Services(ADSA, state's elder care agency). Every time there is a problem, and there are always problems with ADSA, they refers it's low income clients to Northwest Justice Project. But whenever the issue requires an explanation beyond elementary school level, the people at Northwest Justice can not handle it. They can't even understand the issue. I had to work on a case for 5 years to win it. My relatives are barely alive now, it doesn't even matter anymore. I had no law degree and they couldn't give me any proper advise on how to handle this, which resulted in such a lengthy litigation. So what's the point of this place if they can only do simple cases that anyone else can do without a lawyer!? Shut it down, it's a waste of taxpayer's money! They are just keeping this dysfunctional state's police style system for elderly alive. After all they are a part of it. Every time the state takes an action that doesn't benefit an elderly client (i.e. reduction in caregiving hours, restricting caregiver choices), it always refers clients to contact Northwest Justice for help. They must have a place like this in order to proceed with their actions against, otherwise it will look like they are not giving a right to a fair trial, which is a violation of the 6th amendment. The bottom line is this place is a part of the system that doesn't work and makes lives of elderly extremely miserable. Beware...

The prospect of losing one’s family home, especially through a very difficult time can be most distressing. It was at such a time that I approached NJP for assistance. Mr. Joseph Jordan was appointed my Counsel.

Mr. Jordan is the penultimate professional, knowledgeable, patient, dedicated and responsive. He successfully negotiated a very delicate situation for me and yesterday I was notified that his hard work earned me the right to keep my house, my loan modified at a very good rate, and affordable monthly payments.

I cannot stress enough my gratitude to Mr. Jordan for his dedication and tenacity at helping me get my life back on track.

Thank you Mr. Jordan and thank you NJP!!

Sincerely,

Ravi Dewan
