Eric was very helpful when I needed counsel about how to handle my elderly mom's finances. He responded to my inquiry promptly and was extremely knowledgeable about my situation. He listened to all my questions and took time to explain all of the options in a very thoughtful, personable way. I recommend him highly.

With an aging population and an increasingly complex healthcare, benefits, and estate planning landscape, caring and planning for the people we love can sometimes lead to hard choices. Fortunately, there are compassionate, knowledgeable and patient attorneys in this world like Eric Kearney to help us make sense of it all. I highly recommend Eric to anyone who needs council in Eldercare and family law matters.

This afternoon, my husband and I met with Mr. Kearney about applying for Medicaid for my husband. Mr. Kearney was very clear, let me repeat what I thought he said and clarified anything I didn't understand. This is a scary time of our lives but Mr. Kearney was kind and listened to me. Thank you, Eric.

Eric helped me probate my husband's estate. Probate is a long process, and throughout, Eric kept me informed of our progress with the court. His communication style is clear, straightforward, no nonsense. He was available when I needed him, and the comfort of having someone reliable and competent at such a time is invaluable.

When an elderly relative was unable to continue living independently due to safety concerns, Eric provided advice and guidance, eventually working with me to establish a conservatorship and guardianship. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, and encouraging. I would highly recommend him to others seeking help with elder care or special needs planning.

Eric has been very knowledgeable about the complicated details of my elderly mother's situation. He passed on relevant information and helped me come up with a plan of action moving forward. He immediately returned my call more than a year later when I had follow-up questions. I would not hesitate to refer him to a friend.

My interaction with Eric Kearney is the best I have ever experienced!! I was needing an Income Cap Trust for my Mother who became incapacitated overnight. This trust account is a requirement for DHS assistance when a senior makes too much money receiver 24-hour medical assistance, but not enough to support the care out-of-pocket. I left a voice message at Eric Kearney's office and within 24 hours he had called me back. I advised him of my predicament and he created the trust documents within a few hours. I wish I could tell you it was smooth sailing from here, but I spent 6 hours at 2 different banks trying to open the trust for my Mother. However, because of the language in her Power of Attorney agreement, I was unsuccessful in opening the trust account. I called Eric while I was with the bank manager, he took my call immediately. I was trying to explain what the bank requires to open a trust, but I was unclear as to what the Manager needed. He personally discussed with Manager and she explained the barriers. Eric recreated the trust while speaking with her and when I returned home a new trust was in my e-mail. I sent it to the bank manager via e-mail…..IT WAS APPROVED!!! I had the account open the next day!! I cannot tell you the relief I felt in getting through a process that was so foreign to me. I could not have done it without Eric Kearney's assistance. The deadline I was given by DHS was exceeded by 2 full weeks!
Thank you cannot express how grateful I am to be lucky enough to receive a referral for Eric Kearney. I am very happy to know a person like Eric is on the side of Senior Law!

I unexpectedly found myself needing to act as conservator for a family member with dementia which involves close work with an attorney and lots of problem solving. Fortunately I was referred to Eric who was, as I'd been told, knowledgeable, diligent and enormously helpful. He also genuinely cared about the well being of the person I was acting on behalf of and his fees were reasonable and well earned. Highly recommended.
