I acquired Mr Reeves services after my child was sexually touched in 2003. I explained to the lawyer that I wanted to sue the mother of the perpetrater because the whole situation wouldnt even have happened if she had been monitering our children, like she said she was going too, her child 11 or 12, happened to be a ward of the State and came home for weekends. Long, tragic story. The short of it is that my attorney showed up for pre trial, had a few meetings with me, kept in contact, pushing for me to sue the State, who were the wardens, and had lots of money. "Deep pockets" he said. When I told him I wasnt interested in the money from the State, or how deep their pockets were, I was sueing the woman who promised to watch over my child and keep them safe, but instead decided my child would occuppy her childs time while she went outside and gardened for hours. My lawyer let me know that the mother "didnt have a pot to piss in" (yes, exact wording) so it made no sense for me to sue her. And, I responded with the fact, I only wanted justice. I had only wanted that woman to have to stand before a judge and explain to the judge why she had been negligently watching my child. When she knew better than anyone that her child had been acting out and needed supervision. So a judge could tell her. She was wrong and just as responsible.
I never got the chance to sue her, the chance for justice. For 3 straight weeks, my lawyer was unreachable. I left message after message with the receptionist for my lawyer untill the naivety wore off And I realized...he had been purposely avoiding me, had 2 be. How rude!
