Hard working, highly experienced legal professionals who know how to win! Jason, Adam & Dana did an outstanding job representing me and achieving satisfactory settlement in my case against an insurance company which tried to do what insurance companies do, collect premiums and deny claims. Sustaining a life-changing injury in an auto accident caused by someone else is bad enough but to then be denied the insurance coverage I have paid for in premiums for many years felt like being bullied. So, I went to the one place where I was told I would be sure to find bully-beaters, Kafoury & McDougal. I'm glad I did. They lived up to the hype. They have my gratitude and my highest recommendation.
I was glad to have Greg Kafoury and staff on my team fighting the insurance company after a dog bite injury. There were other attorneys that told me it would be too hard to fight the insurance or that the meager sum I was being offered to settle was acceptable. Although nothing can erase the physical and emotional injuries I endured, Kafoury and team worked to get a settlement that would benefit me. Kafoury and staff helped me and my family work through this uncomfortable process.

Congratulations to every member of the Kafoury & McDougal staff for such a wonderful win in my case.
I know many of you had to work long hours and probably experienced much frustration in getting videos and photos copied and mounted, computers behaving and misbehaving, notes typed up, coordinating phone calls and appearances of witnesses, and documents filed... And you all did it so successfully.
I am very grateful to you all. Thank you for what was, for me, a life-changing outcome.

"Go home, get well and we'll take care of everything." Those are the parting words Greg Kafoury left me with after my first meeting with the Kafoury & McDougal team, which exuded confidence that I had, in Kafoury's own words, a "very good case".
On March 16 of 2009, I was rear-ended while waiting for the stoplight to turn green at an intersection in Eugene, Oregon. The driver never hit his brakes, and claimed he didn't see me. In a moment, my life was changed: I sustained significant injuries to my head and visual system, chest, back and legs.
Over the next two-and-a-half years, the Kafoury & McDougal team worked hard on my case and prepared me for trial, which ended in a triumphant jury award in Lane County Circuit Court in September 2011. The father and son team of Greg and Jason Kafoury brilliantly defended my case during the four-day trial.
At lunch during the trial, my daughter asked my lawyers what the difference was between working on large, high profile cases verses a smaller case like mine. Without hesitation, the Kafourys replied, "They're all big cases!" They did indeed go to battle in the courtroom on my behalf against the insurance company like Davids against Goliath, winning not one, but two verdicts with substantial awards in my favor.

I had a excellent experience with Kafoury and McDougal. Mark McDougal was very knowledgeable and gave great advice. I was updated every step of the way. It was easy to see that Mark McDougal was well respected by opposition which can only help one's case. I would feel very confident in referring Kafoury & McDougal to my family and friends.

Kafoury was extremely rude to my 20 year old daughter. She called looking for any attorney for an MVA. He basically told her the case was too small and would be a waste of his time! Had he been patient and actually listened to her he would of known her case is much bigger then it sounds. His son represented her a few years ago with a case way smaller. I guess they are too big for us little people now.

I called for a consultation and was treated rudely. I talked with Kafoury. During the conversation he would keep making unprofessional remarks (e.g. "Jesus Christ") as I was trying to explain why I was calling. At one point he interrupted me, told me to hold on and proceeded to yell to what sounded to be another colleague about lunch plans and who was meeting where. When he was done with this conversation he began asking me over and over about certain details of the case, which I couldn't remember right at that moment because I was so flustered by his demeanor. I offered to give him my documentation so that he could see for himself the details which were well documented and he told me no and that he didn't need to see any documentation and that the whole thing was a mess. That may or may not be accurate, but because of his demeanors, failure to obtain appropriate details, and his lack of basic manners I have no idea how much weight I should even give to his evaluation of the case. Perhaps if Kafoury learned a few basic people skills and talked to potential clients like they are fellow humans instead of his court room opposition, clients would more readily be willing and able to recall important details. If I had to sum up my experience with Kafoury in 3 words they would be unprofessional, unhelpful, and unpleasant. Even if my case were not robust enough to take to court, receiving this type of feedback with such a dearth of professionalism only leaves me wondering if my case is really "the mess" he says it is, or simply the mutterings of an impolite neanderthal.

Called for advice on a case , asked what happened and immediately cut me off after 2 words . “Get straight to the point” and “I need to know about 1,000 facts now that I’m thinking about it , first off, call some other boys in your area” . Without even trying to help . The call didn’t even last 20 seconds . Felt like I was talking to a car salesman not someone who’s working for “the people”.

I am very satisfied with the representation that I received from Kafoury and McDougal!!! Jason, Adam, Dana and Natalie worked with me over a 2 1/2 year period. They made sure I stayed updated, also made sure I was still able to receive care after I exhausted my PIP and settled my case nicely. This firm is very professional and handled me with care!!!!

As much as I want to say I am pleased that Gregory Kafoury and David Hess represented me appropriately, but I can not. I do not feel satisfied with my case and the outcome. I was struck by a vehicle in a Fred Meyer parking lot March 2017. The parking lot lacked traffic control and the driver was reckless. Upon our first meeting, I only met with Gregory Kafoury. After that, that was the only 5 minutes I would ever spend talking to him this entire case. My next contact with this law firm I was directed to David Hess from now on. This was confusing and not professional. The communication was not kept up and my case neglected. There was several instances that I was to one who had to make the effort to touch base and only then would it be a reminder for David anyways to send a form, or to look for a reply from the adjuster in his email. This happened too many times then not that this probably would have been finished a lot sooner had he been on top of it. Also, he refused to go after max payout. He believed that Fred Meyer was at fault but off of past experience Fred Meyer is a hassle to go to court with and he didn’t want to deal with it
My partner was in the same accident the same time and he didn’t want to take him on because he wasn’t going to receive as big of a payout as me. After finally taking it, he neglected the case for 2 years until 4/17/19 finally paying him. He ignored dozens of phone calls, gave a lot of run arounds and kept things secretive and would not disclose things.
Yup. Worthless as they come. Scandalous and deceiving. Please do your research, there are a lot better attorneys out there that can do the job hell of a lot better and give you the pay out you deserve. The entire staff is rude and greedy and has no care about you or your case they just want the money. The best part was after taking $33k from me for feed, he couldn’t even remember my face or who I was two weeks later... repulsive service.

Jason Kafoury is a fast talker and doesn’t appear very experienced.
His dad, Greg Kafoury, has a massive ego and talks to Jason like a child in front of clients.
Dad and son - classic small town ambulance chasers hiding behind the cape of civil rights, in my experience.

Kafoury is an attorney's attorney. If you are a regular person, it will not be a good fit. He will rub you the wrong way, period.
Law is an art, not a formula of what will or will not be considered based on one-off's. It's time for this old dog to retire.

This attorney doesn't think it's a violation of my civil rights for CPS to assume I'm unfit to parent based solely on the fact I have a brain injury. He doesn't think it's a violation of my wife's civil rights to use her ADHD medication and her teenage drug history from 15 years ago as a reason to presume she is unfit to parent, even though doing so has been determined to be unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court. He also doesn't think it's a violation of our civil rights for CPS to retaliate against us by opening a bogus child welfare case one day afte filing a Federal lawsuit against them. He was rude and short with my wife and refused to hear the whole story. I wouldn't recommend him. He clearly isn't up to date on parental rights iissues. He never even bothered to get far enough into the conversation to realize that DHS further retaliated against me by cutting me off of my disability benefits I've had for 13 years, but I'm sure he'd think such blatant tyranny isn't a violation of my civil rights either. This was an excellent case and good opportunity for any intelligent attorney to jump on. His loss.
