Reasonable honest experienced

My experience with chris sternagal was a long but good one. I retained chris for a stop of relocation in a child custody case. He was very upfront with me so that I did not go into any of our court dates blind to what may or may not happen. This was a very good thing for me because I had been in and out of court on the custody case for almost 5 years before he took my case. Chris and his staff were behind me every step of the way and very helpful whenever I called the office. In fact I have had to ask for advise since my final orders and they are very good at helping to direct me to what I need even though he has withdrawn from case at this time. I would definitely use chris again for this matter if needed. He always fought for my children's best interest and never made empty promises but was there through it all.

Chris is a very great thorough lawyer! He gets straight down to the point and gives great advice! I HIGHLY recommend him if you want a quick, very intelligent and concerned lawyer! He represented me in a family matter and I was very impressed also loved his concerns for children! If you want a blunt and caring lawyer then give him a call!!!

Never would I come back. I showed up about 15 min early to meet with Chris, whom I had never spoken to before our meeting. I was told he was not there by his receptionist and he would arrive AT the time of our appointment. While that, to me, is not necassarily professional I had let it slide. After all I was in search of an attorney at this point and he was decently priced and close by.

When Chris finally arrived, 5 minutes after our appointment time, he very loudly spoke about his other clients to his receptionist in front of my father and I.

I brought my father in to help determine if Chris would be a good fit, and unfortunately his first impressions were not done well.

We were not even greeted by Mr. Sternagel and around 13 minutes after our appointment time he had told us "Come on in I guess".
We walked into his office where I proceeded to try and explain why I was there.

He immediately began to interrupt me and talk solely to my father as if I could not comprehend the words he loudly threw out of his mouth.
I began to become aggravated as I was there for me, and to tell him why I needed legal assistance. After about a half hour he not only was increasingly getting more rude, short, and increasing his vocal levels, my father and I decided we were done talking with him.

We had sought him out due to his promise of cheapest in town (you get what you pay for, mind you) and "free consultation".
As we began to leave he said "To add insult to injury that'll be $50."
Instead of arguing with him that his website says "call for a FREE consultation!" I threw the $50 down and walked out.

His "advice" was not worth $50, or $.01 for that matter. I wouldn't recommend him even if he were actually free for consultation or otherwise. Especially if you are female.

At the end of the consult I was hurt and very frustrated by this experience. I hope others have had better interactions than what I dealt with today.
