Walker and Walker Law Offices did what we hired them for. What was really great about them is that they have been here for us even after their services were complete. They let us know that if we need certain things in the future that they would be there for us if we needed them regarding the aftermath of our case. That is what really made me happy with their service because it made it seem like they care. That type of service seems hard to find these days.

Don't look for help

Walker & Walker Law Offices has been a great help. All the staff in the office were very kind to me and, they were there to answer all my questions at any time. Amber was my paralegal and all I have to say is she was amazing. Andrew was my lawyer and he gave the option to live free again. I'm very thankful with Walker & Walker Law firm and their team.

Need better signage

I was ashamed of myself and scared to death of my creditors and their threatening phone calls before I made the call to Walker & Walker. I reached the point to where things couldn't get much worse, I couldn't keep up with my credit card payments, while making sure my rent was paid and I had fallen behind on just abut everything. There just wasn't enough out of my paychecks to keep going. I was stressed out and on the verge of giving up. I saw a commercial on TV for Walker & Walker and I made the call, figuring it couldn't hurt. The girls who answer the phone there are so warm and inviting, but I was still scared. I was afraid of being judged and having fancy lawyers look down on me. When I arrived for my appointment, the ladies up front were all so nice while checking me in. I met with my Paralegal, Amber and instantly felt at ease, Sh understood my situation and also offered that she had been through the same thing and told me how much her life changed just by filing bankruptcy. She walked me through the whole process and answered every question that I had. When I met the Attorney, Andrew Walker, he also made me feel at ease, explaining the benefits of filing of filing bankruptcy versus me continuing to struggle. I was surprised to hear him that I would instantly be eligable for credit cards and auto loans again,and that in 2 short years I could even buy a house! I am almost discharged now, and I feel so free, free of debt and free of the pressure and stress!!! Thank you so much for helping me forward in life! Not very good information before my court date. I ended up having to pay a lot of extra money to the trustee based on advice given to me by my paralegal. Was not very well informed of what to expect.

This review is for anyone that is starting their journey and looking for help or answers regarding bankruptcy. I searched the internet, called numbers from infomercials and even asked friends and family for advice. The infomercials put me in contact with law firms in other states--and the only people I was able to talk to from those out-of-state offices were unable to answer basic bankruptcy questions and kept asking for money to "get the ball rolling." The internet sent me down a rabbit hole, where all I found was random sites that would ask for my personal/contact information so they could shotgun blast it to every data collection container on the web. Friends and family just spoke like experts on bankruptcy, with no actual knowledge or idea of what they were talking about. This was so disheartening and defeating. There is nothing worse than feeling helpless and having nowhere to go for answers or assistance, and ultimately, protection from collection agencies--not to mention, every time my phone rang I knew who the creditor was just by the area code of the city/state that it came from. My situation had became overwhelming to the point of mental paralysis. I owed money to the IRS, banks, lenders, Xcel energy and more... I honestly was scared to tell anyone about my financial issues because I didn't know if anyone could actually help. Also, I was ashamed, I thought I would be judged and I didn't think it was possible to fix a financially unstable situation as complicated as mine.

Then I was walking past the Minneapolis office for Walker & Walker one day and I decided to stop in to set up an appointment. When the time came for our first meeting, the receptionist was welcoming and provided some paperwork to fill out before I sat down with my paralegal (Amber Harkins). Amber was easy to talk to, compassionate for me and my situation--and highly knowledgeable with bankruptcy law. When leaving the office that day at Walker & Walker, I could seriously almost feel the weight of all those creditors being lifted off my shoulders. I was given a folder with an easy-to-understand checklist of documents to collect for Amber--and if I had any questions, the answer was just an email or a phone call away. All that was required from my end was a pre-bankruptcy online course (provided by Walker & Walker), the documents listed in my checklist, and a post-bankruptcy online course (also provided by Walker & Walker).

I recently became medically retired and had to start paying $600.00 a month medical insurance vs previous $80.00 thru work. I was not able to pay my credit card payment and insurance. I felt my only option was filing bankruptcy. Walker and Walker did not judge me and make me feel embarrassed of my situation. When i was 20yrs.old-1990. i went to Curris Walker about chapter 13, paid him $50. I wasn't sure about who i owed, thinking i would get help figuring it out, i was told to bring a list, and i said i wasn't sure how to find that out. I felt i was getting no where, i asked for my money back, since Curtis couldn't help me. He told me no, he was keeping it as a retainer. Since then everytime i see his commercials, i think of how much he took advantage of me.

My experience was a difficult one. After Walker filed my bankruptcy case and the date was set I was then asked to provide additional dates for my bank transaction history. Well I have a debit GlobalCash Card and on their website they have a download button which creates your transactions into an excel spreadsheet. After Walker submitted my documents to the trustee they were denied. So as the client and being in the legal field I am also working for myself doing my due diligence to ensure they have what they need for this to be a smooth process, and feeling a bit frustrated because of time sensitivity. Needless to say the Legal Assistant LATASHA J. who works for Walker Law Offices was on her job! She definitely represents the Walker Law Office in a new and unique way. LaTasha J was attentive, clear, clarion and succinct. As the client I needed to know why the trustee rejected my documents when they are considered acceptable documentation according to paperwork I had received. The communication was not clear until she answered that telephone. LaTasha J.was engaged she wanted to know what was bothering me so she could get to the root of the problem. I like the fact it for a little money down you can start your bankruptcy process and just make monthly payments. The office staff is super helpful are open late some nights and are very efficient in the office.
